Our 4-H group is being told that we can do NOTHING religious in our group because we are under the auspices of the UofI and then higher up the USDA. Anyway, this is probably a pointless question since it isn't going to help my group, but I was wondering if the U of I has a chaplain. I couldn't find it anywhere online, but maybe I was using the wrong search. Thank you!

Hmmm, I know that the school is state funded... but it is interesting to me that our Congress opens in prayer and no one seems to have any difficulty with that.
I appreciate people taking time to answer this question.

Call B. Joseph White, he's the president of the University.
217-333-3070.

A good attorney and dear friend of mine always says, "When you want results, go straight to Nixon". So call the president.

I hope this helps, good luck to you.

No the school itself does not have a chaplain. It is a state school and funded with tax dollars and as such has no religious affiliation.
