I've got a neighbor who complained on us for something. After that, we fixed the problem. Now, he has brought up a whole bunch of things to complain about. We feel like he's harrassing us. He stares by his door and watches us. We feel like we're criminals or something. The animosity is a result of a bad real estate deal in which the neighbors think it's our fault. We just didn't want to sell for their price, and suddenly, we're the bad guys.

This neighbor wants us to look bad to the city and has petitioned the other neighbors to go along with him.

We feel like we can't live on our property anymore. Maybe we aren't being harrassed, but it sure feels that way.

Well you have two choices, one to confront him and punch him right in his ugly face and to face some legal problems or accuse him of harassment because he can't be staring at your house or you all the time and he's challenging you who gets tired of this situation and provoke that you get out of your home. I don't have hairs in my tongue and if I have a problem like that, I would go to him and be face to face and tell him what I think and if I find him one more time he's going to see Satan in panties. I don eat nobody bullshit because humans are like animals, they can smell your fear and take advantage of that, go and talk to him and tell him the consequences that he's going to face if he doesn't change, you can take him to court and on top of that WE leave in a FREE COUNTRY were we have the right to decide what to do or not. Good luck!

Stalking is more like it. If he's staring and watching you all the time that stalking. Sounds like you live in a retired area where the retired people have nothing better to do with thier time. Just follow the rules and don't give them reason. Plus if you did decide to sell your home you might have a hard time selling it because of this. Maybe if you suggest to the real estate agent if they can find retired people to purchase your home, and then you can move on.

Do you have a camera? Take lots of pictures of him doing it (and let him see you take them). And keep a log of every incident. Then, when you have a lot of evidence, call the cops. Give them plenty to work with and have copies ready for them to take if they want to. Do not take any action yourselves against the harrasser.

bullcrap.

if someone is staring at you, stare right back.

if you get a hankering to, install a webcam so that you can document his peeping on you.

once you have evidence, call the cops.

someone plays hardball with you - play hardball right back...
