Is millions of lives worth the death of one child?

Hypothetically speaking!!!

A brilliant scientist has the cure for ALL diseases and cancer in his head. After he gives his formula – the world will be Utopia. He is the only person in the world with this cure. If he dies before he tells the cure, it will be lost forever.

Now, before this scientist gives the cure, he goes out and pulls a John Couey and murders and rapes a child. During the trial, he says that if he is convicted in any way, he will not disclose the cure. HE MUST BE EXONERATED. Do we let him get away with the most reprehensible crime of rape and murder of a child to save the lives of millions of people?

This scientist is pure evil. Nobody can change his mind. He will take the cure to his grave. In this fantasy world, if we exonerate him – he cannot be charged again or “accidentally” killed after he gives the cure. He must be accepted back into society as if he had done nothing wrong.

My sister got fired for something she did not do. The data used was
from a report saying she was hanging up on people. She works in
a call center environment and the calls are tracked by a report which gave info claiming she is not talking to the people when they call in. She is not quilty but they said the report speaks for itself. She was not given any warning or anything. She did not do this and
says there has to be a problem with the report. Can and how should she fight this. She has never been written up for anything with this company and was totally shocked when this happened.
Thanks for any help.

Should the UK have a single written document, similar to the USA, outlining all our rights and freedoms, or, should the UK stick to an uncodified constitution, whereby our rights and freedoms are taken from many different sources and social conventions?

I personally feel that it helped her find herself and by having to seek solace from notes left from a former prisoner. (it's not right, but I think it worked)

"By forcing Evey to endure something similar to what he had endured at Larkhill detention center, V hoped that Evey would understand that "integrity", "the very last inch of us", is more important than our lives. Evey initially hates V for what he has done, but comes to realize that the experience allows life without fear and for her to return to a normal life in London"

Have been in and out of court since 1998 my X hasn't paid support unless his wages were attached. He now sells real estate but everything is done under his wifes name I mean everything and if not he name it would be his dad or her parents everything is hidden and the attorney has helped with this. The three of them got together and came up with the best plan possible making it look like he owned nothing nor did he make any money. I won't ever understand how he gets away with doing this, he should be in jail doing time for child abuse/ neglect as of last 2/17/07 my children and I are homeless. I was hurt on the job 01/19/06 since then I've only been receiving disabilty which isn't even 1/2 of what I made while working, never thought Iwould be out this long. I'm not able to afford any kind of housing around where I am I've been living with a friend and he was transferd up to Nothern CA and needs to rent his home out so he doesn't loss it we tried to make it work but not enough funds

I'm planning on buying a used camera on eBay that comes without a box or most of its accessories. I don't think it comes with a warranty. I noticed that eBay sells warranties for that specific model of camera. Is it perfectly fine to buy one, or is this kind of warranty black market?

Not that it was me. But I witnessed 2 teenage boys get rushed by security guards and was handcuffed by them in the middle of a Mega mart store. Is this legal?? And i guess my next question is, is it shoplifting if they did not attempt it yet by walking out of the door?? They were in the middle of the store.

I was on my way back from Atlanta, GA heading to Montgomery, AL. I was in Tuskegee at the time of the incident. I was pulled over for doing 119mph in a 70mph zone, attempting to evade a police officer, and running a stop sign. I WAS NOT doing 119mph, as I had my cruise control set on 90. I DID NOT try to run, I just drove a little farther than I should have. I actually think I did run the stop sign though, I was going a little too fast down the exit ramp ( I got of because I didn't want to get pulled oer on the side of the interstate) and I pulled a California Roll...so yeh I deserved that one I guess. Anyway, what should I do? Plead guilty? My sister told me to find out who the judge and prosecuting attorney are and then get a state appointed lawyer for myself as I can't afford one. Now here's the worst part...I'm a 16 guy who drives....A V8 Firebird (1999 model) with Fuzion ZRi tires on it. Yikes right? How bad are these courts gonna rape me?

My daughter is 5 months pregnant. She is 18.She was living with the father of the baby, here at my home. She left him for another man.She now lives with my ex-husband.She has expressed to the father of the baby that she wants to give the baby her last name(my ex husbands)the father of the baby says its his right to have the baby take his name, and i agree. Is there any law about unborn children and last names? This is probably a weird question but i don't think that my daughter should to that to him and i think seeing how that baby is half his, that's his right. He is willing to go to court after the baby is born, for custody. She isnt making the wisest health choices, even though shes pregant. She smokes and lives in a house thats smoke filled, with so many people. We were just curious as to the rights he had.
