I was on my way back from Atlanta, GA heading to Montgomery, AL. I was in Tuskegee at the time of the incident. I was pulled over for doing 119mph in a 70mph zone, attempting to evade a police officer, and running a stop sign. I WAS NOT doing 119mph, as I had my cruise control set on 90. I DID NOT try to run, I just drove a little farther than I should have. I actually think I did run the stop sign though, I was going a little too fast down the exit ramp ( I got of because I didn't want to get pulled oer on the side of the interstate) and I pulled a California Roll...so yeh I deserved that one I guess. Anyway, what should I do? Plead guilty? My sister told me to find out who the judge and prosecuting attorney are and then get a state appointed lawyer for myself as I can't afford one. Now here's the worst part...I'm a 16 guy who drives....A V8 Firebird (1999 model) with Fuzion ZRi tires on it. Yikes right? How bad are these courts gonna rape me?

Look you guys...I don't need to hear about how stupid I am right now. If I wanted that I listen to what my dad says about every single day. I come to yahoo answers for sincere answers. To those who give me actual advice, I can't thank you enough. To those who don't: Just don't say anything from now on.

Geez dude, do you want to live to the ripe old age of 17? Slow down!

Anyway, about the traffic violations.... I'd take it to court. If you were really only doing 90 (that's still way too fast) and not 119 like the police officer said, then I'd fight it. 20 mph over the limit is a lot better then 49 mph over. You could lose your license if you don't fight it (depending on the rules in your state).

Just plead guilty and look very sorry as you will get a lesser punishment. Trying to argue you were speeding but at a lesser speed is just dumb and you would simply have the same out come.

well dumb ***, your only chance is gonna be a high priced atty.
if you can't afford one take the court appointed public defender, maybe you'll get lucky and get a young zealous recent law school graduate, ambitious and out to conquer the world. so you'll probably cop a plea to lesser charge, pay a hefty fine, ($2,000. maybe less if your lucky) and lose your license to be a dumb *** for 6 months to a year. recommend if you have safety pins and other piercings, you leave them home and dress smartly. don't be cocky before the judge. and address him as judge. beg for mercy and i pray your a local boy where this happened, not a Yankee. lmao !

you may desire to get a cost ticket for that. So what im getting at is, you the place in the left lane, cop in the main stunning. You bogged down so which you may desire to recover from and than at modern took an exact? Making it so as which you skipped a lane into yet another street. Sorry to assert sure, yet in basic terms a genuine *** hollow could do it.

Obviously you're not an expert in what you should do (no-one would expect you to be!), so don't be afraid to ask for help - get yourself a lawyer! If you don't they'll eat you for breakfast!
