I'm 16 and I moved to Georgia 5 months ago. My living situation at home is unbearable, it always has been but I finally have the guts to do what I can to make my life better. I have a place to live, some money, a plane ticket for next month, a job when I get there, a way to finish school, etc. It is legal to move out on your own at the age of 16 in Canada without interferance from your parents. Does this still apply to me even though I am living in the US? I am a Canadian citizen and NOT a permanent American resident, these laws should still apply to me, yes?

My van broke down today and I called roadside assistance for help. I left while I was waiting on them to get some money to pay the tower. When I got back, my van was gone! The tower took my van to my home 25miles away and left me stuck! I had to hitch a ride from a stranger just to get home! When I got home he overcharged me, the direct route to my home from where the van was at is 22miles he charged me for 32 miles because he took the "long way"! Can I sue the tower for taking my vehichle without my consent?

ombudsman and they checked out my complaints and they called me back and said they could not find anything. That girl is still working and is probably doing it to someone else because she can get away with it. I think they are all apart of it. I just can't prove it. I have called many differnet type of telephone numbers and nobody will do anything about it You don't even get a glass of water at your table. Only what you get at mealtime.

We bought 2 football tickets online for $119 dollars each. The price listed on each ticket is $65. We are selling them on Yahoo! auctions. Are we allowed to start the bidding at $119 per ticket, or do we have to start with the price that is listed on the ticket itself?

My Grandmother passed away 2 months ago. Her guardian (the trustee) has filed the forms in probate for a small estate up to $18,000. I have a copy of the will which I got from the court house and she willed him $15,000 for being her guardian etc. She also willed me jewelry and personal belongings which I have not recieved. I also know that she had a life insurance policy and investments (not sure what or where). There was also a van worth $25,000. My question is why a small estate if everything is included? What can I do? I contacted the lawyer who drew up her will and he told me that her guardian was handling everything. Her "guardian" does not want to talk to me about this or answer my questions, when he does speak to me he just bs's me. There is 4 of us grandchildren, no spouse or children. Her will states that we are the heirs minus the $15,000 to her guardian/poa.

My question is about child support. I have been granted sole physical and legal custody of my baby boy Jordan. He is 9 months and his father has not seen him at all or made no attempt. He has to pay child support monthly including back support from when Jordan was born. He doesn't want to pay and gives every excuse not too. His family has emailed, visited me and called me harassing me saying I have no right asking him for support because we aren't married. I told them nicely it's none of their business and between their son, my baby's daddy and I and it's support for my son. The judge asked him if he wants a relationship with his son and he said, "I DON"T KNOW?" I'm in California so there is no way he can give up his parental rights at all. Can he take me to court and get a different court order once a judge has established an order and child support enforcement has everything on him?

after getting a college degree, a career congressman achieving minority leader of the House of Representatives before being chosen by Nixon as Vice President after Spiro Agnew was removed for his corruption in Maryland government as Governor and then Nixon was found to be guilty in Watergate, whereupon he pardonned him for that to spare the country a lot of litigation over that. But what about signing the Privacy Act of 1974 giving preference from that time forward to that status quo creeds of this country at that time even to this date, actually causing discrimination in religion, something it was supposed to stop. It allowed discrimination by reducing access to statistical data that would make claiming minoity religious status possible! So by keeping that data our of the loop, this act made it possible for traditional fundamentalists Christian families to control us more. Was that a fair act to do that or do you think that that is the only righteous way to control morals today?

When you visit a Solicitor in UK, you assume that s/he has studied law. Largely, this is not the case. You visit a Doctor in UK, and s/he must be qualified, by law. There is also the question of teachers who vary. That is not to say that eveyone who has a degree knows all about it and this is certainly not the issue. I have known for several years that there is a complete farcical situation here.Shall I set up a pressure group? If I do, I need plenty of people behind me and so my questions. Happy New Year.

Once again I feel I have done nothing wrong! Shouldn't Yahoo Answers at least READ what was said BEFORE implimenting disciplinary actions? This is becoming tiresome. There are many on the program who report anything that they don't agree with. Something should be done to end this behavior. It's not the points...it's the principle. I have enjoyed my time here but I am growing weary of the ones who are censoring harmless comments. Your help will be most appreciated.

I bought diamond earrings for myself 2 years ago. My ex-boyfriend would borrow them and wear them as well. Well, we broke up and since the moving process was so quick I forgot about them until now. I asked for them back but he wont give them to me. Is there anything I can do to get them back? Can I report them as stolen?

Is it fair whenever a woman takes an extended maternity leave count as time on the job? Three years ago, coworker started work around the same time as I did but only one month before me. She went on maternity for her first child and took six months. During that time, she did not work. After coming back for a short time, she again took another six months of leave for baby #2. In 3 years, she's actually only put in 2 years of work at this company. A window office has come up which has not happened in 5 years. Since she started the job one month before me, she has seniority and therefore has been assigned the office. Is this fair? Awards are also given on everyone's anniversary w/ the company. Is it fair that she gets a 3 yr award when she's only worked two in actuality?

I'm only wondering what people think. I know it's legal but is it fair?
