We bought 2 football tickets online for $119 dollars each. The price listed on each ticket is $65. We are selling them on Yahoo! auctions. Are we allowed to start the bidding at $119 per ticket, or do we have to start with the price that is listed on the ticket itself?

Depends on the State they are sold in and purchased in. In many states, you cannot sell them above the resale price- in your case $65. legally, the person who sold them to you probably was not allowed to sell them above $65 theirself. However, such laws are rarely enforced, so I wouldn't worry about it. I would start at $65 with a reserve of what you paid.

Check the rules of your state. Some states allow you to re-sell tickets at any price, as long as you don't sell them on the grounds of the event itself. Others require tickets to be sold at face value, to prevent ticket scalping.

Reselling tickets on a higher price is scalping and it is not allowed under the law especially that you are selling it online which can be monitored by the authorities.

Depending on what state you are in. Your state may have anti-scalping laws. I would recommend selling them at face value and eating the auction cost. eBay should fetch a higher price, and with the Buy It Now feature, you can elimate the chances of making more money off of them than what you want. Selling tickets for more than they are worth is called scalping and it is not legal. Check the laws in your state.

You sell those tickets for as much as you like.
It only depends on if there are people out there who are willing to pay what you are asking. Since you paid $119.00 each for them, try selling them at that.

Each state varies, and if you are trying to make a small profit then it should be ok, but if you are trying to gouge someone to a high profit, then you are scalping and could be charged with a crime.
