Maybe we should make an example of them and cut one of their hands off? Maybe we should brand them on their cheek so that everyone knows they are cheaters who take money they don't deserve? Maybe we could just make them wear a shirt, like that one convicted child molester, that says, "I steal things from the government and the poor...please kick me in the nuts." What do you think? What kind of person do you have to be to steal money like that?

My neighbor just passed away from cancer, he has two adult children from a previous marriage and a new wife of 25+ years. Both of his children live in the same town, but never came to see him during his battle with cancer. From my understanding they did not have a relationship with their father. They were in the process of making the will out when he passed away, so nothing was legalized. Will his children be entitled to his estate or will his current wife have possession?

When a court case file says "open" - it means judgement was not made and the case is still open. When it's closed - there has been a judgement made and it is dismissed. What does it mean when it says "Filed Only" ?

The Monroe Doctrine expressed the idea that new countries should be allowed to develop without interference from stronger nations. In your opinion, do you think that the United States still follows this policy? Also, do you think that such a policy should be followed in the modern world?

I bought an item at a very good price and the seller says the listing price was an accident and I am wondering if legally they still have to sell it to me, since it would seem like false advertising. Any legal or ebay experts who know if I should fight to get the item at the price I paid or give it up?

I got a speeding ticket back in september. And I hired this lawyer to fix it. He did. They give me 90 days after the court date (which I didn't have to go) on september 28,2006. what happens if I haven't paid off my debt with them after the time limit? I just started working and I'm trying to catch up on bills.

The apartment complex I live in (Illinois) has some weird things going on that I suspect are borderline illegal. Residents have only one option for TV, internet and phone. We can only use Dish network for TV, AT&T for phone service and some weirdo unknown company for high speed internet. The internet sucks. In the complex, all the residents share 3 T1 lines and it's out more than it's on. Not to mention, the prices are outrageous. I tried calling Comcast but they're restricted from the area where I live. Is all this legal? Don't consumers (residents in this case), have a legal right to use whatever company they want for this kind of service instead of being forced to use a specific company?

Does anybody know why a doctor's office or hospital would need a child's social security number to treat them. All a theif needs to get a hold of your identity is your social security number and your address. Does it not seem dangerous to hand out a child's social security number to anyone (it is not like they need it for bill paying purposes, like they would an adult) even a doctor's office or hospital?

It was estimated the "N" word had been used 150 times on the same stage over the past week
prior to Richards remarks, now two want money because they say they were offended..LOL! I've listened to one "activist" after the other talking about their outrage and talking about the poor morals of Richards. It seems to me that these people can talk to us about morals when 9 out of 10 household in the black community are not headed by women..then we can hear their "moral" speeches. then tell us why the black population that is 12% yet 50% of the prision population is black...explain this...then we can talk about morals. Clean you own house FIRST...then let's have this talk about the "N" word.

agree?
