I got a speeding ticket back in september. And I hired this lawyer to fix it. He did. They give me 90 days after the court date (which I didn't have to go) on september 28,2006. what happens if I haven't paid off my debt with them after the time limit? I just started working and I'm trying to catch up on bills.

If I'm reading this right, you're worried about an agreement for payment to your lawyer, not the court. If you agreed to do something you really can't do, contact your attorney to find out what your options are. Explain your situation, emphasizing that your intentions are to pay for their services in traffic court, but due to your present financial situation, the agreement is more than you can handle. Ask if they'd be willing to work with you. Chances are they will. It's highly unlikely they'll actually sue for the money you owe ... it's not worth their time and effort, but don't count on that! You should assume that they will sue you. What ever you do, don't do nothing!

Odds are, they will sue you..and trust me -- you don't want to be sued by a lawyer. Best bet, is to call the office and work out a payment plan with them. Most lawyers will favor that over taking you to court any day.

They will put a warrant out for your arrest. They may not actually come looking for you anytime soon, but they will have it on file & if you get pulled over or anything they will arrest you on the spot because when they run you they will find that there's a warrant out for your arrest. It's best if you go & take care of it ASAP~ Good luck~
