whats your opinion on the affirmative action not ineffect

I think it's a good and bad thing that affirmitive action has been taken way.
It's bad because maybe all the minority students will have a harder time getting a job or getting into certain colleges
it's a good thing because finally people will get jobs and get into college based on their qualifications and not their sex or race

Affirmative Action served a purpose many years ago, but it is no longer necessary as attitudes towards minorities has changed over the years for the better. I used to work in Human Resources and have never believed Affirmative Action is an appropriate way to hire anyone. The most qualified person for the job should get the job.

Affirmative action when implemented as a quota system of some kind is offensive to both the majority AND the protected minority.
We need to ensure two things:
That those who are willing receive the best possible education to the extent of their natural abilities
That employment decisions are blind to race, sex, sexual orientation or physical ability.
Other than that, affirmative action is counter-productive.

Umm sorry it has no place anymore. It was needed in the 50-60's But with more Black millionares than any other place on earth does it seem right to request a company have a quota? I mean Asians are doing better in school than whites and getting double the bang for the buck. it was intended for poor blacks not rich highly educated Minority Koreans. It's time has come and gone.

Affirmative action = Tyranny. a million. you get rid of a private organizations accurate to employ and hearth who they please. 2. You abort the perfect guy or female for the pastime tactic it truly is tried and examined. 3. You cut back races to an underclass only for the colour of their dermis. 4. You throw civil rights out the window. 5. You create racism.

I can see how they were needed a generation or two ago, but now I really think that they are not needed, and that race should be completely absent as a consideration for things like scholarships, school admissions... it should be based on qualifications, not race. Just my opinion.

Affirmative Action has long outlived its purpose. It is no longer needed in our society today.

It's a good thing that it is being phased out. It served its purpose when it was being used, but times have changed and it doesn't have its place anymore. It have turned into reverse discrimination!

it's the action that should be taken.Quota systems are based on race, not ability.It's not fair to whites or blacks; If blacks show more ability than whites, they should not be limited by a quota based limit,if on the other hand ,they should not be accepted just to fill some arbitrary quota limit.

it needs to be gone as well as the EOE... they were needed at one time, but are not needed anymore
