I was assaulted on the job by my supervisor. The assault was unprovoked, caught on tape, and witnessed by another co-worker. I had to go to the emergency room due to my injuries. I eventually had to leave my job because although he is officially banned from the premises, this is not enforced. I pressed assault charges against him and now I am taking him to court. Apparently he had been dishonorably discharged from the military less than a year ago for a similar incident. Many people in the company knew of this and spoke of this, but they still promoted him to job of supervisor. I want to know if I have any case against the company. They do not do background checks on employees, but I feel that if someone in charge had known that this man had been dishonorably discharged from the army, they shouldn't/wouldn't have put him in charge of other employees and maybe I wouldn't have been hurt.

Some people want a limit on the number of terms one can serve in legislature.What are some of the advantages of the present system, which doesn't limit the number of terms?what are some of the disadvantages? How could one make terms limits an offical part of the constitution?

A mans wife is dieing of a rare disease medicine exsits but the cost is far beyond his income and he has no insurance to cover it. To save his wife the man breaks into a pharmacy and steals the medicine that was intended for another patient. The person for whom the medicine was intended dies with out ( think about it) its kind of sad if u think about it but at the same time like wow!

I filed a small calims case against the management company of an apartment I lived in. They moved their office without a forwarding address. I dismissed that case without predious and filed against the apartments. I went to court today and the judge is allowing them time to file a motion to dismiss the case due to the first case being dismissed without predious. Can I get the first case overturned?

Need advice but cannot afford a lawyer.

This company's contract of employment goes this way. You join them, u sign a contract and u r bonded to them for 2 years. Why? Because they promised to give u training in the first 10 months.

If u leave within the 10 months, u have to pay back ALL the salary they have paid u so far and some other amount of $$. after then 10 months, but not exceeding 2 years, for every month u don't serve them, u r required to pay them $4000 while your monthly salary is only less than $3000. If they fire u within 2 years, u have to pay too.

In the contract, the employee is specified as an employee, with contribution made by company to the employee social security fund and pension fund. The payment made monthly to the employee is specified SALARY.

It is also specified that the amount owed if one leaves b4 2 years is "expense expended on" the employee.

Is such a contract legal? After a month, the employee find the contract unfavorable and backed out..

Examples are.... I have recieved prank phone calls for the last 2 months from a male suggesting the things he would like for me to see, do and hear in bed. I have turned him into the police, the phone company, and even asked the congregation at church to pray for him. He continues to call and in spite of the fact I have called the police at least 4 times, I continue to get nothing done about it.
I work full time 12 hr/day, and I took my boyfriend to eat and we recieved the wrong order at the restaraunt, so I told the waitress we recieved the wrong order, the manager came out and apologized to him over and over again, and I was the person who paid. The manager just ignored me. I could not believe it, and my date did not correct him.
My boyfriend needed his furnace fixed. They dropped a bill off at his house a week later. When I needed a plumber, I called the same company, and they informed me over the phone I would have to pay up front.
Whats up?

my cuzin just got his license last week he is 16 and i am 15. i have a girlfriend who is 15. my cousin took me and my gf along with many others to a party and he was going to give me a ride back home. so we go from a house party to another party 2 blocks away. he gave us a ride. i was very thirsty and somebody offered me beer in a cup (im underage) and i drank a couple sips and my gf got mad and started ignoring me. my cuzin got mad was so upset that they were both ignoring me and i wanted to show them they cant tell me what to do. i once told my gf i wouldnt do anything if she told me only if she asked. so i drank a can (ONLY 1 CAN OF BEER) in front of their faces. they get even more mad. then my cuzin and my gf leave the party and ditch me their with no way home. the neighborhood was very unsafe with alot of gangs. and it was 10 at night and my home was 2 miles away. they ditched me and to make things worse my cousin made my gf walk to the other party at night. who was wrong?
