Examples are.... I have recieved prank phone calls for the last 2 months from a male suggesting the things he would like for me to see, do and hear in bed. I have turned him into the police, the phone company, and even asked the congregation at church to pray for him. He continues to call and in spite of the fact I have called the police at least 4 times, I continue to get nothing done about it.
I work full time 12 hr/day, and I took my boyfriend to eat and we recieved the wrong order at the restaraunt, so I told the waitress we recieved the wrong order, the manager came out and apologized to him over and over again, and I was the person who paid. The manager just ignored me. I could not believe it, and my date did not correct him.
My boyfriend needed his furnace fixed. They dropped a bill off at his house a week later. When I needed a plumber, I called the same company, and they informed me over the phone I would have to pay up front.
Whats up?

I'm in my (very) late 40's, and I honestly can remember only one instance in my entire life where I felt I was slighted because I was single ... and believe me, I gave them an earful.

A lot of people just aren't proactive enough or assertive enough, and they pay for it in the way they are treated by others.

Prank calls are the easiest thing in the world to stop. You can either change your number or get a punch-in code from the phone company so the calls get traced and forwarded to the cops. If you aren't getting anything done, it's because you are talking to all the wrong people. At what point do you normally say to yourself "Gee, I have done this 4 times already, and nothing is happening. Maybe I better ______ ".

When the manager came over and started talking to your boyfriend, you could have said nicely but firmly "Excuse me Sir, but I'm the one you should be talking to" if it were clear that he wasn't talking to your boyfriend just because it was a man thing. When a man approaches a couple, he will normally address the other male.

The furnace people could have just been going by who has the better address or any one of a hundred other clues that could have given them the better make this one pay up front vibe.

Maybe you are giving off a vibe that says "I don't matter". Some people do. You need to find someone who is unbiased and who will tell you the absolute truth without worrying about hurting your feelings in doing so.

Singles, men and women, are treated like a plague to society. We are seen as immature, irresponsible scum. It is very sad. Just because someone can attend a wedding and be officialy married does not make them more responsible than everyone else who did not fall for the whole marriage sham.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO KICK HIM TO THE CURB AND EAT YOUR LUNCH BY YOURSELF TO GET THE RESPECT YOU DESERVE! MY HAT'S OFF TO YOU MY LADY!
