No man can comprehend being pregnant. So, don't you think it should be up to Women to make this decision?

Some pharmacys won't even give women birth control or the morning-after pill. It seems like women are getting less and less choices about wether or not they can prevent pregnancy.

Pro-choice - I don't care what any woman's beliefs are, they are
her own & a group of men shouldn't be making laws for
women. We are not second class citizens.

Pro-life. A life at any stage is a life and we all went through the same thing. Women have a right to decide if they want a child or not but once a child is conceived then the child's rights should be protected.
There are many methods to preventing pregnancy and even if the mother doesn't want the child she can give it up for adoption. Women are simply making the unborn second class citizens now, buy choosing to kill them off rather then giving them a chance to live.
Did you know that approximately 1/3 of our generation is wiped out because of abortions and that 100 million girls are missing due to infanticide, abortion and neglect. This is wrong... they're just babies. If you search for pics on aborted children and see the images then they will haunt you.

I don't care...how is that for an answer? LOL, both sides of the argument are completely ignorant in my opinion. Since many pro-lifers use religion as their basis, and in my opinion dogma is a useless tool in serious arguments about anything but that religion, I can't back them up. When they all become anti-capital punishment, pro gun control and vegetarians maybe I will jump on board, but until then they dont have a valid argument.
pro choice...well they think that if we dont allow abortions then in the next five years women will lose the right to vote and have to cover their faces in public. It has nothing to do with keeping laws off their body and it wont lead to more restrictions. Bad argument. They had the choice to not have sex in the first place.
Now you get to the grey area, the rape, incest and health of the mother issue. This is why it cannot be banned completely. Personally these are the only situations I would deem them acceptable, the problem is that the number of rapes in America will quadruple over night with all the pregnant women trying to find a way out of it. That is a huge problem. Partial birth abortions have to go period. But considering how many people want to have children and cant have them, have the baby and put it up for adoption. That is the best way to go as far as I see it but anyone thinking there will be any major changes in this issue in the near future is kidding themselves. It will never go away completely, the technology is too good and the procedure too easy. Sorry pro lifers, this is a war you cannot win, and part of me laments that.

The thing about the abortion debate is that the two sides are arguing entirely unrelated issues. Pro-life people say "abortion is bad". Pro-choice advocates say "The government not should be making personal decisions that like". It's not about abortion. It's about who gets to make the decisions.
The concept of reproductive freedoms is not whether you agree with the individual choices being made. It's whether you think the government should have the right to take away and mandate those choices.
Why can't people understand that freedom of choice is not a minority value, even if the majority happens to disagree with the minority's choice?

Let me answer your question with some questions:
If a building was being demolished and out of the thousands of people there: one person claims to have seen someone enter the building, is it ethical for the building to be demolished as planned (without making absolutely sure no one was in there)?
If there is any chance of human life being inside, no matter how slight, its ethically wrong to go ahead and do something that would end that life?
As long as there is the SLIGHTEST POSSIBILITY that its a real baby from the moment of conception, is it wrong to kill it?
We don't need to prove its a baby. While there is still a chance it COULD, be a baby, u have to prove it isn't, if u dont want it to be constitutionally wrong to have an abortion.

I believe abortion should be legal, this is a decision that should be made per person not on a government level.

not that it will change minds...I believe that if its for a selfish reason, then the mother should never have had sex. but in cases of rape, or where the childs life or the mothers life is in immediate danger, it should be legal
Theres no right answer to this, its a difficult decision and everyones situation is different. But to end any life is a shame.

I feel that any answer is to determine when the taking of an unborn life is homicide, so it seems obvious to me that the answer should come from the legislature, not the courts, and from the states, not the federal government. I think courts trying to make laws should be illegal.

Pro life....abortion should be illegal. I feel every baby deserves the chance to grow up. If the mother doesn't want the baby, there is someone who does want to be a mom and would adopt. I do believe that the morning after pill should be easily accessible to women who want to stop conception.
