I don't think any of the statistics have changed since the Act was implemented.

I did see one set of stats-- reading skills/scores have not principally changed since it was put in place. Nor would one necessarily expect them to in only a few years.

The act was intended to have measurements put in place to gauge how students were doing. Some provisions got killed by folks like Kennedy (vouchers).

Detractors cite that it creates unfunded mandates.

It actually had quite a large bi-partisan support in both houses. Probably too much since many aspects got watered down or eliminated. So, if you don't like it, complain to your representative/senator regardless of which party.

the only stat that matters is that its failing miserably..and should be abolished
