I need help writing a thesis about capital punishment. I have to use this statement: capital punishment constitutes cruel and unusual treatment or punishment in capital muder cases/ I need some ideas for topics for my paragraphs and some counter-arguements. Please help!

you have to keep in mind that the criminal justice system doesnt work perfectly, and if someone is wrongfully convicted and killed for their crime, that can not be undone, also "an eye for an eye leaves the woorld blind"-Gahndi

Simply stated, extraordinary crimes call for extraordinary punishment.
For instance, people who sexually molest children:
It may be argued that child molesters are not deterred by the death penalty - maybe that's true, maybe it's not - but it can't be argued that when it is carried out, the molester will not have another chance to ruin a child's life.
In most cases involving hideous crimes, cruel and unusual are terms better used to describe the crime, not the punishment.

I am tired of people using money saved to justify killing another human being. Capital punishment is NOT cheaper than a life sentence.

that's why you need to go to a library and read up on cases involving the death penalty, the different procedures, and what happens during commencement of the penalty.
