Do you think Armenians have to produce a proof of genocide through usual channels, ie United Nations, International Court of Justice etc., before they can claim it took place? If no proof is available then what do you think they are trying to do?

The Ottoman Turks undertook an intentional program of mass murder against Armenians living under their rule during World War I. In the 90 or so years since, the governments of Turkey regardless of their political leanings, have consistently refused to acknowledge a historical fact. Armenia is an independent country and likely wants nothing else other than historical admission. None of the leadership of Turkey from World War I is still alive and Turkey is no longer an empire but a progressive modern country, a member of NATO and soon to be a member of the EU. Why it continues to refuse to clear up history once and for all is anyone's guess.
