I read somewhere that you can be sued if you libel someone in your blog if the public can read it. I need to know if this is true.
(It isn't me telling lies, it is someone else talking about me)
The same people are also slandering me. How do you go about suing someone for this?
Sorry this was kinda' two questions in one.

Isn't this supposed to be the "Christian way"? But you guys complain about your tax dollers being spent on "social programs" you guys really need to take a good look at yourselves.

It seems that most supporters of the current administration place a high value on freedom and moral values. Yet, the bar for what constitutes torture now seems to be lower. Individuals can lose their freedom and right to legal representation at the whim of the government - is this freedom?

I had stacks of medical records with verified wrong doing and negilence. I had pictures of what had taken place. The attorneys were positivally going to go after the doctors who did this. They wanted to gather the evedence and build their case while the patient was healing to a point as to the best that they ever would and then they would file the case. The patient died shortly before the case was filed. I contacted the attorney to anounce the death and he told me that it was over. I ask him what he ment that it was over, this person lost thier life because of the doctors negilence and you tell me that it is over. He said that it was an economic issue now and that there wasn't any money to go after now and that he had million dollar cases on his desk to work on. He declined the case.
I presented the medical records to three other malpractice attorneys who jumped on it only to later decline it as an economic issue. the patients long term care & pain & suffering was gone

First of all western wildfires are a NATURAL and necessary part of the ecosystem. Think of it like a house cleaning of the chaparall or forest. It get rid of forest litter, diseases and bad insects while actually helping seeds to germinate for renewal of the ecosystem. This fire was bound to happen sooner or later. Should we be putting more of the blame on the agencies that suppressed the fire for so long that it built up a dangerous explosive fuel? Shouldnt we blame them for not doing controlled burns to get rid of the fuel? So can they charge the arsonist with murder when it a lot of the blame should be on the suppression of the fire for so long? Or maybe for the houses that were built out there where it is so susceptible to these fires. ?

There are thousands of kids here who need good homes, and oftentimes, when you go through your state's child protective services, there's little or no expense. Meanwhile-- it can cost upwards of $40-50,000.00 to adopt from some other countries.

Is it because they're racists?

I'm sure you're aware that a new video game is coming out called "Bully". In this game, kids go to school and beat each other up.

I have been teaching for two years and am currently completing a B.Ed. As an education professional, I think this game is revolting and SHOULD NOT be sold. But at the same time, I like to think of myself as an advocate for freedom of speech and freedom of information.

I know it's a slippery slope to hypocrisy, but I can't help but feel that this game is somehow akin to kiddie porn or something. Am I turning into a Fox News viewer? Can I (authoritatively) teach my students about the value of free speech and freedom of information while still protesting the release of this game? What kind of example do I set for my students if I stay silent? If I speak up?

Let’s say a person is in a state where they are basically a "vegetable." Should their mother be able to say whether or not she wants her child to live since women have the right to kill their unborn child since they have no means of communication to say whether they want to live or not… much like someone in a long term coma, a vegetative state.. and so on..?

Capital Punishment speeds the Perp's Karmic evolution along a bit...BUT as a former Death Sentence PROPONENT I have come around to the informed opinion that death is too good for some individuals.

And yes there could be some things for some people worse than death...i.e,a life time of isolation or hard labor, i.e. Chain Gangs, no TV or Rec time and/or conjugal visits or In-House Weddings via CCTV or communication.

Unless you are the Dali Lama those arrangements in a windowless "Cell" incommunicado might be a tad uncomfortable ... for this "lifetime" that is.

If you do/don't try to back it up with some reasoning.

My stance on the issue is that capital punishment is wrong for the following:
The court system is imperfect, many innocent people have been, are and will be tried and excuted for crimes they havent commited.
Capital punishment attempts to reward murder for muder(an eye for an eye) which has just shown our naiveness, because the justice system is meant to prevent and rehabilitate criminals. furthermore it does sentencing a real murderer for life instead of the electric chair is more reasonable because it allows them to contemplate their crimes for their entire life in a small cell which they are confined to 23 hours a day.
My last reason for not agreeing with it because of the cost it takes to execute these so called criminals. the cost itself it overwhelming more then what it would cost to simply let the person live out his sentence in his jail.

Please state your position and try to back it up.

Why isn't this question out in the public more? It is like Islam is a seperate species of religion that cannot be criticized! If you go to any college campus, anything that seems western or christian is openly criticized. But in those campuses and society in general,
Islam cannot be criticized? I am not talking about the individual here, I am talking about the RELIGION.

Islamic societies are Fascist, Autocratic, theocatic, and are rife with hate toward women, non-muslims and the western world. Islamic schools teach children the glory of suicide bombing and how America and the west is evil. Also children are shown verses in the Qur'an that say a Jihad or a Fatwa against people who are not muslim is justified!

Islam is one of the most intolerant, oppresive and violent religions in the world. But people continue to call anyone who criticizes Islam a "bigot" or "intolerant".

For those reasons I listed, I belive ISLAM the religion, not the people, is evil.
