I live in an area that has such an influx of Hispanics that most job opportunities require that you speak Spanish. I am thoroughly disgusted. I am very qualified in my field and have taken a conversational Spanish course, however, I am by no means fluent and forget about writing it. I have been told not to bother applying for many positions just because I am not fluent in Spanish. Any attorneys out there that can answer this for me? I do not live in South America or Spain. I live in a small town in the State of Georgia in the United States of America. I'm in my mid 40's , divorced for 10 years with an ex that is over 45K in arears in child support, one daughter in University, the other one in high school, and at present I am unemployed. I have depleted my savings, my retirement funds and have $200 in my checking account. I don't blame anyone for wanting to improve their lives, except for when it is making my plight in life much, much worse. I'm pissed.

What would you say if God forbid some moron sicko molested or murdered your child?

I say: OFF WITH HIS PENIS! He will NEVER have a chance to do again!

so, if a person kills a pregnant woman, they are charged with two murders, mother and unborn child. and yet abortion is ok? both times, a child is murdered, but it's ok if the child is "unwanted"? does anyone else think that this logic is flawed? i know people will say that you should be able to abort a child concieved through rape, but why punish the child for someone else's crime? how about adoption?

This is NOT a personal situation so please no "get a job" remarks or personal attacks.

If you try to claim Income Support they take into account, not your partner's wages but how many hours he/she works. And the limit is 16.

So if, for example, your partner worked 18 hours at a minimum wage job and brought home somethign like £80 a week they would refuse you Income Support.

Yet £80 a week is less than the law says a couple need to live on).

So how do they justify that?

BTW as for Working Tax Credits, you can't claim them if you'rer under 25 (unless you have kids) or you work under 30 hours a week.

i work for the march of dimes and in order to do that, we had to learn about their stand on stem cell research, abortion, etc....

i personally am for abortion but only in some cases, such as rape, or the mother could die, or even the baby unless the pregnancy is terminated

well so in order to do stem cell research, u have to have aborted babies, which i think is disgusting and wrong. i also believe that the use of stem cell research is wrong, and i dont think that the use of it should ever be legal in the us.

am i just too sheltered? or do other ppl share the same opinion?

I'm giving a speach in a few weeks.
Thesis: I will persuade the audience that the legalization of marijuana will help unburden an overstressed legal system, and also help the economy.

In my intro, I want to give a brief, unbiased history of marijuana. Every website i've checked is either a website that you have to pay to see, or done by a half informed "stoner". I just want some facts to base my introduction.
thanks
Dan

Not trample on the constitutional rights of religious groups to follow their laws against it? We were given the right to religious freedom, but it seems that if the gvt. votes to allow gay marriages and a church says "no, we won't marry you, it's wrong." that those churches will become targets of lawsuits and possibly treated as criminals. Which holds more power, the 1st ammendment, or a later one? Can a law be written that allows for both? Ideas??

Then some hidden person will be eating a cheeseburger, fries and a coke, while they watch and hear every thing little thing you do?

will we be safe then?

If they know you had a fight with your mate? Or yelled at your kids?

or watch a TV show that was deemed anti-establishment and you didn't even know it?

Don't we pay enough tax, and pay for everything, to be allowed some privacy -

Your finances are watched, now your phones, next are mics and cameras -

so we can all sit and monitor each other, and report everyone who has the slightest annoying thing they do.

what a bright future-

Oh but please shop and go about your life "as though" everything is fine-
or else the "evil doers" will have won!

Will that make us all safer?

Terry Shivo was the center of a case where her estranged husband, petitioned the courts to have her support system removes, including no food or water. Her family fought in court for the right for her life? They lost. What was your feelings on this case do you think the GOP did enough to try to stop Terry's untimeley death?

I'm pointing to a few articles on my blog and commenting on them. At the same time, I'm using photos from the 'destination' articles to make my blog richer and better lead into the article links. Is this legally ok? I'm basically using the photo to help lead into the article that's hosted at the magazine's site, so if anything I'm generating traffic for that magazine (a good thing from their perspective, I think), but technically speaking, I'm using their photo without permission. Is my activity within the bounds of fair use, or am I out of line? I just want to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes. Also, if this is out of line with legal guidlines, can I realistically expect any legal action when I'm basically helping their traffic? I'm not slamming the articles or anything, and I'm not substituting or plagarising their work - really just adding a few comments to introduce the article.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

The whole industry is based on addiction and exploitation. Why is this looked upon favourably by our Government to the point where they tax the product (UK)? It is wholly hypocritical. Do the government turn a blind eye because they earn so much tax? Is there a case to bring charges against the government for turning a blind eye? Either all drugs should be illegal or legal and controlled IMHO.

wire and other illegal sites people are happy to reccommend advice?

The CD question I posted may have the odd suggestion of illegal downloading but people gave them thumbs down.

I searched "limewire" in the search box and got 576 results, and only a small amount are about not using it or how to uninstall.

Don't you realise that illegal downloads also play a part in CDs being more expensive? Plus more and more people are having action taken against them now.

So why are the two any different?

I've been told that the burden of proof always lies with the Plaintiff, but I've recently heard that the courts will instruct a jury that they need to decide basically if the discrimination "could have" happened, and not so much if it was proven that it did. In that case, isn't the burden of proof moreso on the defendant to prove that the discrimination DIDN'T happen at all?
