I know people who receive perks at work (everything from event tickets to merchandise) the monetary values range from $10 to hundreds of dollars, and they turn around and sell the gifts for profit. Do you think this is unethical?

Well the only reasons I can think of is that emotional/verbal/mental abuse does not have hard evidence to prove that someone has been abused that way. In the USA it has the fairest(sometimes) justice system that only allows hard evidence.

Like in Iraq Middle East if you accuse someone of a crime they get shot in the head no questions asked.

Just wanted to know what your opinions are on this. Thanks

My teacher was just saying the other day how when he was younger there was virtually no security to get on an airplane. You could basically walk on as if you were going on to a bus or something of that sort. And now airport security is INSANE because of all the attacks and what not.

So it got me to thinking, do you think other basic places will soon have buffed up security? Such as say a sporting stadium. You can walk right into a stadium without any metal detectors or security unless you have a bag. And when you do have a bag they look through it, but I can get a bag of chips past them if I want. What does that say about the security of it?

People probably wouldn't even think of having to go through intense security to get into a baseball game currently, as I'm sure people thought the same about airplanes back then. Do you think it will take a single attack in a stadium (or other place) before the security is as insane as airports?

Just wondering opinions...

I accepted a sales executive position with a large telecom company. My first day they asked me to drive to a customer meeting which was 275 miles from the local corporate office. On the second day I met with my supervisor and by the end of the day I realized that I had made a mistake taking that job. I called first thing on the third day and resigned stating that this was not the job I thought it was going to be. The supervisor states that they will pay me for the two days worked but that they will not reimbuse me for my mileage expense. Can they legally do this? Don't they owe me for expenses incurred working the position?

Since Christmas of 2005 my girlfriend's ex-friend began telling lies on me when I said I was going to purpose to my girlfriend. She has told everyone at my job that I'm cheating on my girlfriend and telling my girlfriend's friend that I was cheating on her and it has caused me and my girlfriend to fall out. I even had people at my job come up to me saying her ex-friend is spreading lies about me. So when I confronted her ex friend about the situation all she said is that my girlfriend's friend is lying and she didn't say it. So soon as we get the problem solved she starts another lie and this time brings my family into it and tell my girlfriend's friend the same thing and said that my family can't stand my girlfriend and that i have a baby on the way by another woman. So far these lies has be going on for about a year and it is tearing me and my girlfriend apart and we have been together for 3 years. So do anyone think I can take her ex-friend and friend to court for slander.
