Your husband needs a good attorney. And laws vary by state.
One argument could probably be claiming a good faith mistake, where he was attempting to follow the law and would have followed the law, but for an error of fact. His attorney will be able to explain how this works, and whether your state recognizes this defense.

You cannot plead ignorance as a defense. He actually committed .bigamy. Hire an lawyer to represent your "husband." You'll have a much better chance of getting probation or a suspended sentence. You should also have the lawyer contact the ex-wife and ask her to sign an affidavit in support.

Sounds like he's taking you for a ride! You are gullable! By the way, why did you sign HIS divorce papers with his previous wife? This just doesn't make sense. As for the other comments about getting a good lawyer...if you are guilty of a crime you are guilty. Plain and simple. The only thing a lawyer is SUPPOSED to do for you is to explain the legal procedures to you and advise you along the way...look it up...it's all about ethics. Your husband probably had alterior motives...sorry.

do you have paperwork that supports you thinking that the divorce would be final on 1-14 because if so , a letter , an official paper anything with that date on it. Take those with you and get an attorney it will be worth it since there was no intent and a good attorney should be able to get it down to a misdemeanor or dropped entirely.

Ok, first you do know that since he was already married, your marriage in 1/14 is not legal and you are not legally married to him at this point unless you got remarried.
next who turned him into the state, the state would not have just caught this thierself unless someone told them.?
You need to hire an attorney to work out a deal with them.
And you need to get remarried to have a legal marriage

Oh i don't think of your question is immature in any respect, and that i don't think of you will desire to think of of those as unfavorable recommendations. you're very reasonable, is all it style of feels want to me. If i'm being very user-friendly, i could say it may be fairly puzzling for him to not possibly supply a couple of minutes of theory to a prior wedding ceremony or marriage whilst he's dealing with yet another. this could be organic. it may exceedingly much be unavoidable. yet never do i think of that his wedding ceremony to you would be any much less particular to him simply by fact he has been married earlier. it incredibly is exceedingly much like asserting the 2d time I gave delivery would not be particular to me simply by fact I had already finished it. as quickly as I gave delivery the 2d time, I had some recommendations of the 1st time even though it grew to become right into a thoroughly diverse journey with a diverse result. it fairly is like that. quite some lifestyles repeats itself in cycles, and we study and we adore and we save going. try as hard as you could to enable thoughts of jealousy for her go. you have him. relish him. do not enable subject deliver you down at this actual time.

get a lawyer not a public pretender, they are worth what you pay, you get nothing for nothing, a lawyer can get this matter cleared with a phone call and a letter or 2 in most casses.
