The biggest robbery historically is the German robbery of the Jews especially the priceless art collection. It was successful only until recently when the rightful owners have just begun to track down their valuables. It was also successful because it was like an organized crime ring. There were many countries involved who helped to hide the money, especially the swiss.

Well, D.B. Cooper I feel was the most successful... I really hope he lived through the ordeal to be able to enjoy the money... I really liked the heists pulled I think in Ca. a few years ago,. where they used atv's, ran through storm sewers, and used concrete hole saws to be able to gain access to inner bank vaults, and even though the alarm system went off, and the police came, they saw no evidence of a break in, and left...I guess neither one is really spectacular, but both made me wonder how a person comes up with such a plan...Cannot help it that I appreciate the fact that no one was caught in either instance... Hard to have compassion for the scum sucking banks, trying to suck the lifeblood out of everyone ( greedy bastards ) or the insurance companies ( major scum suckers in their own right ) that had to reimburse the scum sucking banks... Everyone loves it when a greedy organization takes a hit, a blow for the regular guy, of which I am one.....

Probably some robbery of an art collection from a private collector who had previously bought them from a thief and can't report it for fear that he will be arrested for holding stolen property. There could be untold millions filched from those walls and no one is going to ever hear about it.

Bush is up there - thank God - but for my money it's the one that's still in progress at any one of the dictator led Arab countries like Syria and Iran.
