the executor of the will has to send you by registered mail
a copy of the will and send the signed receipt to probate.
this is only if your name is in the will.

Yes, as the other people hae said, just follow up with Probate court. They can tell you whether or not you were listed on the will. If you are not listed you can also find out if there was ever another will and when it was officially changed. It is unfortunate, but sometimes a family member will take advantage of dying relative and trick them into changing there will. I am not suggesting this has happened in your case, but if you have fishy feelings about it just do some snooping. If you do not want to do it you can contact a lawyer or legal aide and they can help you with the process. But, most Probate Courts are very friendly and helpful especially when it comes to a loved ones loss.

When your grandmother dies, her will is reviewed by the probate court to determine its validity and the terms. At that point, you can find out whether you are a named beneficiary.

Before she dies, her will can be changed at any time, so there is no way to determine what you might get.

If your grandmother is alive just ask to see her will. If she has passed then when the will goes to probate you can ask the executor or see what is filed with the court.
