Some people seem vehemently opposed to it, but suppose someone very close to them had become a victim and the person responsible was up for death.

My state (California) is clamping down on W.C. fraud. They're gunning for the individual that files false claims and rips off the government for a few thousand dollars. I agree with them.

About three years ago I had a workers comp claim. I pulled a leg muscle (on the job) and was sent to our local E.R. The hospital issued me a pair of crutches and told me to use them for three days. I did.

I recieved a copy of the bill that was to be paid by workers comp and to my shock workers comp was charged almost a thousand dollars for my pulled muscle. No xrays were taken, but the hospital did sell workers comp a pair of crutches for 300 dollars.

My wife was tired of seeing these crutches in the garage and told me to get rid of them, so I called our local hospital supply and she told me I could walk in off the street and buy the same crutches for thirty dolllars.

Wouldn't the government be more efficient to go after the hospitals for the price gouging, than individuals?

What's wrong with a little oversight to quell the fears of abuse? Is there something wrong with having independent officials monitor the eavesdropping program? The way Bush et al act, you would think they have something to hide.

I know its almost impossible but I think Ian Huntley should be watched 24/7 if needed to stop him topping himself!! He deserves to rot in jail.

I just moved out. My mother lives in a different school district than I do. I was told today at school (the one where i live) that i can't go there because of where my legal gardian lives unless i can get the other school to waiver tuition. What are my options? I moved shortly after my mother moved to a different school district because i didn't want to switch schools.

Almost every other country can have them. Isnt it legal for them to produce their own weapons if they feel like it? Since when do they have to obey the USA and Britain and other countries. I know the main reason they dont want Iran to have them is because they think theyll use them against Israel and Israel has said "Nuke us, we'll whipe you off the face of the earth." Israel has the 6th largest pile of nukes...so why do we fear them having them???

my husband whom i wasn't legally married to died in a hit and run. we have 4 children together.. i was trying to sue on behalf of my children, but just found out that i wouldn't be able to since i am not next of kin.. my so called mom in law has to sue.. we also have to establish an estate and i also won't be able to be the administrator for my children. why do i not have any rights when the children are mine. and if any money is won where will the money to raise the kids go? will it go to his mom? i guess nevada has no common law marriage even though we've been together for 11 years..i'm asking in hopes that there is someone who knows about the law pertaining to this cuz i have no money for a lawyer and wouldn't even know where to begin..

I saw a man on the bus acting strange in the presence of his little daughter, I sort of sensed something wasn't all right in their relationship and I wanted to talk to the guy but even if something sad and bad was happening there, how would I prove it? Today, I saw a guy kick his dog and when I threatened to call the police he wanted to hit me and I am a girl!! What do you do when you see such terrible things happen and you're alone and no one would stand up for the kid or the animal? These kind od situations really p*** me off because I love everything that's innocent & needs protection. And other people are so selfish, they don't see what's going on because they don't want to. And I'm not from the States, the cops here don't make it on time!
