In the Middle Ages, Europe was a dark, dank, dirty place, while the Muslim world was enlightened. Therefore, living in a Muslim society then was much better for you. (Unless you like living in dark, dank, dirty places). Most of the Maths you learn, comes from what was gathered in the Muslim world; the numbers you use everyday as called 'Arabic Numerals'.
However, I guess you are thinking that is Muslim Values dominate the world, then the whole world would return to "Europe's Middle Ages".
I gues you are thinking of the Sharia law: off with the hand, off with the head... That isn't in force in all Muslim countries. Malaysia for example is very secular, so is Turkey.
Malaysia is a majority muslim country but which is just like any other fast developing economy. Kuala Lumpur is a thoroughly modern city. Men and women work in shiny sky scrapers of steel and glass. Pork and liquor can be bought and sold, there are temples, churches... There are no major waves of forced conversion to Islam, women can dress as they want, vote for who they want; so can men. Still Muslim values dominate in Malaysia, but Malaysia is a modern country.
Why don't you take a look at what the CIA publishes about Malaysia:
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/my.html
When you think about Muslims, do not think of the extremists only; it would be like thinking of White Christian Supremacists when I think of Christians. DO not think of whatthese extremists talk about as "Muslim Values".
History has shown that countries with Muslim Values can be at the forefront of science and technology, the present world shows that majority Muslim countries can be as secular as most other democratic countries for want of a better comparison.
So, I would say: No; the world would not regress to the dark, dank, dirty European Middle Ages if Muslim values dominated.

Yes - people who go on about Islamic inventions like algebra forget that pretty much all of their contributions to the world were made hundreds of years ago, during the 'golden age' of Islam. Islamic governments like Iran and Saudi Arabia today have contributed nothing to the rest of the world, and do not foster initative or creativity among its people. A lot of them seethe with resentment about having been overtaken by western societies they once regarded as inferior.
Unfortunately lily-livered western countries are so eager to 'celebrate diversity' they are happily surrendering our values to Islam's. In what I wish were an April Fool's joke, a British hospital has just introduced green 'surgical burkas' for female Muslim patients, instead of standing firm and saying the notion that women have to be unseen has no place in Britain.

that's particularly what is going on in united statesa. in the present day. The Arab international and their scientific learn have been stifled indoors the thirteenth Century by fundamentalist clerics and has never recovered. that's why there have in undertaking-loose words been 2 Muslim Nobel prizes for technologies an identical element is going on in the present day with religious christian creationists denying what technologies has particularly proved. If it wasn't so unhappy it will be laughable.

during the Middle Ages, Latin Europe was barbaric, Muslim caliphates were centers of culture and learning. Open a book, you will find that Muslim societies during the middle ages were enlightened and cosmopolitan. They, in fact, were in possession of thousands of pages of ancient Greek writings which the Latin world thought were lost. Additionally, after Toledo was invaded by the Barbaric Holy Roman armies, the atmosphere was so wonderful there that scholars from all over the world gathered there to study the Arabic translations of all the Greek philosophy (Including work by Aristotle). These Greco-Arabic treasures were a major impetus for the beginning of the Renaissance. So, it would be wonderful to go back to a Muslim-controlled Middle Ages.

I dont know anything about Islam but I would respect it as I respect all religions. However, when I see the women on the television wearing the garment that covers them from head to toe with only a veiled slit thro which to look, I find that scary. It could not be easy living like that.

When did they leave the middle ages? The majority of the Middle East is worse than a third world country.

You are irrationally worried. If you think about it, apart from swapping a church - Which you currently do not attend (I can bet on that) -for a Mosque (Which you will still not attend), I can't see what really bothers you. Instead of the Archbishop of Canterbury you may get the Ayatollah of Canterbury. Frankly who gives a F***? As for burkas, they are not compulsory among Muslims. Like take it or leave it. Get that Musa?

Only if the extremists are dominant. Moderate muslims aren't any different from the rest of us, except they tend to pray more.

If muslim values dominate, the only setback would be an increase in sexism. However, if muslim TEACHINGS (i.e. the Qu'ran) dominate, there would be much greater equality for all.
