All depends upon who it was and for what reason. If we are talking about my parents lying to me as a child about certain people existing or not at xmas time, it did make me be a better person, so no, I cannot say resentment.
If we are talking about work, I cannot see what good it does me to have people lie to me at all. If I ask a question, the only good in it for me is the truth, whether painful or not, since I can only get better or grow with the truth.
Also, what someone else's opinion of what is good for me may be WAY off (most likely is), so generally a lie then would be a lie.
So it would have to depend upon what the lie was and what good it was for me. So far the only ones I have ever caught lying to me where I can say it was for my own good were my parents and yes, while there still may be a tad bit of resentment, not too many problems. If it were at work, there would me major problems.
