What is the difference between pleading guilty and pleading no contest?

I was thinking, porn is nothing more than prostitution, granted they have health screenings and clean environment, but non the less it's prostitution. What do men and women do in porn movies, they have sex and they get paid, what do prostitutes do, have sex and get paid. So why is pornography not illegal and prostitution is? Don't include the health facts because i already mentioned them. Is it because porn industries pay taxes, so the politicians are getting paid and prostitution doesn't pay taxes so the politicians don't get paid. If prostitution had health screenings and a more controlled environment, would it then be legal, specially if the pimps paid taxes on their HO's?

I have lived in this house for three years now and everytime something needs fixed, I tell the landlord. That is what I am supposed to do, right. Anyway the landlords response each time is, "It's not my problem, I don't have to live there." The one time he did buy something to fix the house, he charged me for the parts and labor. I now have two holes in my floor, A back room that is about ready to fall in and is molded, and the entire house needs rewired; the lights dim about 2-3 times per hour. I replaced the hood over the stove because it caught on fire and when i told him about it he said i should have let it burn so he could get the insurance money. I need help, do I have to legally pay rent if he refuses to fix things?

I'm working on a north carolina mortgage and their telling me that my attorney's signature as a notary wasn't good enough and that he needs to have a seal if he's a notary, but he's not and i can't find the statute or code of evidence that says he can sign in lieu of a notary... NEED HELP FAST!!!!

I would like to file a claim for workplace harrassment. My co-workers are causing my work environment to become unstable. The last five people who had my position had left because of the co-workers in my department. My boss told me that he did not want to try to resolve the problem and he said it in front of the rest of the co-workers. Basically, the co-workers are has used defamation. One of my co-workers has called me something other than my name. A couple of co-workers who doesnt cause any troubles has told me that the ones that are causing trouble has been telling my boss horrible things that are not true about me. Also, I have endured embarrassment. Bottom line is my bosses attitude has changed for the worse towards me. How do I go about handling this matter? I would like to quit, but I have to pay my bills.

I live in Missouri and I am interested in advertising my services as a Life Coach. Is any particular licensing necessary in most states, or (if you know) specifically in Missouri? Are there specific guidelines that I must follow with respect to how I advertise my services and conduct my business? Or is this field largely unregulated at present? I've seen many "new age", health, and business centers offer 'Life Coaching' but I have always wondered if this is 100% legal. In general, what might be considered the line between offering therapy and Life Counseling? Any information you can provide in this regard would be most appreciated. Thanks!

My understanding of the law is it protects plagarism. However, I was recently told something different. Example - if I'm doing a tribute page online, and I use a poem that is copywritten and include that information on it - with the author of it - does that violate the law? What about "common domain" things passed around in email? There's no way to track down the person who has the copyright - I just want to make sure proper credit is given as far as I know. This is a not for profit site. Thanks for any input

So long as you do not violate anothers rights, liberties or happiness, do you not have the right, and responsibility, to live your life according to your own conscience, and not by anothers conscience or moral standards?
Do we not owe it to ourselves, and others to live our lives as we deem appropriate? So long as we do not judge others on their moral or religious or conscience beleifs, than we ourselves should be allowed the same respect.

We are a nation of complete dishonesty, why do you think so many people want to come here? its because the illegals, and foreigners get treated better than the people who have built this nation., with the help of crooked politicians giving them everything free thats why the illegals from Mexico and elsewhere want to live here, everything is given to them. The politicians are not paying for it, the people of this country are, the hard workers. If we had honest politicians,(ones that won't take kick-backs) maybe we would have a stronger nation. So where can we find people, (non lawyers,) who want to make this nation better not worse. The biggest majority of our Senate our kick-back pals, and its destroying our nation.. its true huh?, money can buy you anything, right you crooks in Washington???
