My boyfriend's ex-wife and his 2 children live in Killeen Texas, she wants to give him custody, because she "can't handle them on her own". We live in Florida, they (the children: ages 5 and 9) will be going to school here this year, and by the end of the school year we want to have all the legalities worked out. Since Texas has "jurisdiction" we're not sure how to handle all this. ANY help would be appreciated! Even if it's just a link to a website that could give some answers. Thanks.

Are you Pro-Life or Pro-Choice? Why or why not?
Personally, I'm Pro-Life. If you don't want the child you're pregnant with I think you should put him/her up for adoption.

Did you tax paying Americans know that there is no law on record anywhere that says Americans have to pay income tax. Look it up for yourself. Its true.

I want to use a published newsprint copy of my local classifieds advertising paper and re-type them in to make them publically available online for my own profit....would that be lawful? legal? etc.? This of course would be done without prior permission written or verbal.

SAMPLE CLASSIFIED:
FOR SALE: 1968 JEEP, runs good, asking $1200.
Call John Q. 555-1234 after 5pm.

Since its not an article is it still protected under law?? What about using someones phone number online?? Thanks folks!

can the collection agency actually sue you, i was thinking that since they are only hired to collect a debt, that legally they cannot sue you. and that it would have to be the company who you owe the money to. so am i right or wrong.

I am not one of those people who sue's people all the time first of all.

A guy ran into the back of me in june 2003. He did serious damage to my car and I have a permanent disc herniation and nerve damage. I have incurred about $20,000 or more in doctor bills and this wreck has MAJORLY changed my life around. (This is the brief scheme of things.)

What I want to know is how much I could probably get out of this wreck settlement. Just a round about number. Will I get more that just covering my doctor bills?

A friend of mine was accused of fathering a child back in college. After he had been paying this chic for a while he heard "rumors" that the child was not his, took a blood test and found out he was not the father. This is in the state of Texas...notorious for having crazy child support laws....He has spent a lot of money trying to fix this but apparently he signed some waiver (before the blood test) and he can't get out of it....Any advice?

thats what our founding fathers wanted. but for some reason, christian politicians in america are trying to re-unite the two. isnt this a violation of the constitution? arent we allowed to practice out own beliefs? if anything we should be pressing to seperate church and state even more! (like taking the "in god we trust" off our currency and removing "one nation under god" from the pledge of alegiance.
