I am not one of those people who sue's people all the time first of all.

A guy ran into the back of me in june 2003. He did serious damage to my car and I have a permanent disc herniation and nerve damage. I have incurred about $20,000 or more in doctor bills and this wreck has MAJORLY changed my life around. (This is the brief scheme of things.)

What I want to know is how much I could probably get out of this wreck settlement. Just a round about number. Will I get more that just covering my doctor bills?

Hate to burst your bubble, but you could end up with nothing.Depends if he has anything or not.You could end up with a judgment against him,but what would that do for you unless he hit the lottery or got a good job or something.Unless the judge made him pay you by the month.Lots of luck. Hope he had GREAT INSURANCE.

If you get a good attorney, you could see in the upwards of $100,000 if the defendent's insurance is that good (not likely). The sad fact is that you will only be able to collect up to the maximum of the insurance coverage unless the one who hit you is wealthy.

It depends on the personal injury laws in your state, as well as the guy's insurance. I know of plans that have anywhere from a $100,000 to a $5million personal injury rider. You may get any or all of that. It really depends. And in some states, the person may be held liable to pay you out of their pocket.

Get a good lawyer and sue the pants off the dirtbag. How much you will get out of him depends largely on what he has and on the judge.

Most likely in all these situations you will make out with some extra cash. You won't be going after the guys money it would be his insurance company. You will get pain & suffering $$$

I think professional sewers are dirtbags, but probably you were actually injured and all that. If you already went to see your lawyer, what did he/she say?
