Who is "they?" If you are referring to the United States, it may have something to do with the quality of the black candidates up to this point. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are not exactly presidential material.

The same question could be asked about a female, Jewish, or anything other than a white Christian male.

Becoming the president is a very expensive and time consuming process which involves one person selling a lot of other people on his/her vision to the point that they are willing to give their time and money to make it a reality.

Just because it hasn't happened yet it doesn't mean it wont happen eventually. Remember, until 1932 we never had a handicapped president and until 1960 we never had a Catholic president.

Who are they? U.S.A.; some other country. Of course, they can have a black president just as well as a woman president or an hispanic one, but the voters gotta decide.

We can. Unfortunately, I don't think the majority of this country is ready to let blacks cross that barrier just yet. And the ones who have tossed their hat into the ring for it, just lacked something in one department or another and didn't appeal enough to the masses to continue on their respective campaign trails. I think America will elect a woman for president before they will a minority.

Too many rednecks vote. They'd sooner see a black man hanging from a rope than sitting in the Oval Office.

It won't ever happen. The closest we'll get is Condi Rice. People are really being fooled by Hillary Clinton right now so that's not a possibility.
