They said I had threatened them and I hadn't even had an arguement with anyone. I am bi-polar and I think they just wanted to get me out of there. Can I file defamation of character or a libel suit against the employees themselves? I have already filed a charge with the Civil Rights Commitee

I've been noticing lately that people seem to have a tenancy in court to say that God told him to do serious crimes, examples would be drowning your children, killing your spouse, or (if your where I live) running over some guy you don't know on the street.

What exactly type of defense are these people trying to play? Are they all trying to claim insanity?

I'm not talking about from a legal stand point. Strictly from an ethical standpoint. Here's the situation: Someone robs a bank. Things get ugly, people get killed and as the robber makes a getaway, he gets into a car crash and wakes up with amnesia. He has no clue who he is or what he's done. All he knows is that he is told that he's a murderer and a theif and that he's going to spend the rest of his life in prison. Is justice served?

And I'm not talking about if he says in court he doesn't remember if he should be aquitted. I am asking strictly from a moral standpoint, should this person go to jail or would justice better be served by taking this person as a clean slate and trying to fit them back into society?

This is an injury/accident lawyer. I met with the investigator and signed the contract they said they'd get right on it, i do think they are a good team of lawyers. My last Lawyer i hired didnt even call me i waited after a 2 weeks and called them , left messages no one ever called me back, kept calling and they gave me a big ole run around then dropped my case after 2 months. I told them to send me my files and all they had was a phone number to the other guys lawyers. So anyways i knows its only been a day but how did your previous experience work when you hired an attorney?

When we bought our house 2 years ago,we were given an appraisal of $145,000.00,since we've added a new roof and finished an unfinished room(making an extra bedroom),while trying to refinance we find that the appraiser whom did the first appraisal was a friend of the bank pres.& house owner & "fudged" the numbers to help his friend sell his house,we recently had it appraised & it appraised @133,500.00, part.due to this we were unable to get financing. Is this a cause for a lawsuit?

Congress, both the House and Senate passed Public Law 107-243 authorizing Bush to use force against Saddam to make him comply with U.N. Resolutions to disarm his nation of WMD. Since no WMD were found, what is the President's legal authority to keep troops in Iraq?

Property rods land markers
I would like to ask this question.
When you buy a piece of land and
You go thought a title company and they hire a survey crew to survey your land
And then you get your land description showing where all you steel rod markers are
And even get the micro film from the surveyor showing the same thing. Then 4 years later some person buys the land next to you and a different survey company comes out and they say the steel rods are not right and your back fence belongs to the land owner behind you and the last to survey it dose state that it looks like someone did move the rods what do you. Why buy title INS if they tell you there is nothing they can do to help matters. are there any links out there to this

While at the mall the other day I saw a cart selling knock off designer sunglasses. They had the sunglasses laying out with signs saying compare to gucci, compare to prada, or what ever. Now if I was to take handbags and do the same thing, I would go to jail. Why can sunglasses be replicated and not purses? Are intellectual property laws not the same for all items? I just dont understand.

it seems that affirmative action, in some respects, has gone far above and beyond its initial intentions, and now is having a reverse effect on the people that put it into action in the first place. what do you think?

This man has basically spit on the sacrifices that our soldiers have made in blood. Thousands of our men died trying to secure Iraq. My friend nearly lost his life serving there. He shamed our country
For all of the crimes private green has committed his clemency is denied!
What do you think
Death or life in prison?

Why can't we vote via the internet with our representatives in Washington DC voiting on bills, etc according to the majoirty? I'm sure a system could be set up allowing only one vote per person, per bill, etc and our lawmakers would be forced to vote for the people vice their own interest with the majority having the right to recall the representative if they vote opposite of what the majority wants. Woldn't this ellimnante our representatives from having their own agenda and voting for or against something because they want to ensuer reelection?

I started seeing this guy who just got out of prison after being in there for 2 years (DUI, nonviolent). He is a realy sweet gentleman, says nice things, treats me to nights out, tells me how pretty I am. On top of that he is GORGEOUS and the sexx is AMAZING. However, he acts really strange sometimes, like the other night we were all out at a festival, I guess he got pretty drunk and instead of telling me, he left and called a cab home. he called me like 45 minutes later, apologizing cause he was so drunk. my friends think he may be on drugs, I dont think so. I think he just doesnt know his tolerance level cause he just got out like 3 weeks ago. We talked about it, and he said how he wants to have a relationship with me and get to know me. he is very easy to talk to, I have a great time with him, and he could be "the man of my dreams"/ I just dont know waht i want, and it scares me cause I dont want to be his first "lay" either. what do you people think?

I know that this question depends on the individual and how much they are into what they do but I'm looking for a person to give me their experience, their notice of individuals around them in this profession who have worked and now exited this field, and those who have heard horror stories of people who left this profession in a heart beat. I'm curious.

I want to know on average how long do most people work as a paralegal before they exit the profession. I know some who have worked all their life and those that were there for 20 years or so but let's go with the bigger bulk of statistics and look at the average and not the rare few who still stay on.

Ok. please give me only sensible answers and no wise guy antics.

Thank You

my kids are going to a terrible school. It's a public school. there is a teacher with tenure there that is a terrible alcoholic and everybody knows it it's a running joke among the students. He has a cup of vodka on his desk and bottles hidden in his classroom. my kids have found it on 2 ocasions. But no one can do anything about it I'm told, because he has tenure. Now though my kids are being discriminated against badly such as weeks of missing assignments. (I've seen the work before turn in) I've had to make them get a reciept for all they turn in among other things. Now due to my protestations all my kids and I are suffering class discrimination.I need to know what my rights are to bring a suit against the school. Also there are many others that feel the same way. Another problem is that it's a small town and if you don't have the right last name your screwed thus the class discrimination. Please this is important!
