I was in a car accident on June 13th, 2003. A drunk driver ran a stop sign, and hit the truck that I, my sister, my aunt, and my uncle were driving in. My aunt and uncle died instantly. I had a bruised lung, a fractured rib, back injuries, a busted lip, I lost half a tooth, another completely died in the root, I have nerve damage in my left foot, scars up and down both of my legs, I have a permanent indention in my right thigh from muscle damage, and I had to have 13 stitches across my forehead. My sister had to have 6 stitches, head trauma, and shoulder trauma. When we went to court, the man who hit us got more jail time for hurting my sister and me than he did for killing my aunt and uncle. How do you go about changing this law, and does anyone have a similar story. I am in North Carolina, so if you live in a different state, let me know what the penalties are in your state.

If a consulting company has quoted you a price for a service, and you send in the documentation required from your side to get the job done, and then you pull out of it (because you may have changed your mind) - can that consulting company still insist you pay them the full price they would have charged you for the whole job?

i posted this question before but i may not have got the desired answers because i explained a little too much. this is the question as simple as i can put it. i want a website that tells me my rights, not the aclu. i want rights in a traffic stop, but i would like advise on what to do when in contact with police for any reason. please do not give personal opinions, it was all frigin cops last time that answered and they were NO help. so please if you are a police officer or a prosocuter for the state, move on to the next question. again, links, websites, or books on the subject would be perfect.
the title of the book would be called something like " how to screw the cops that tried to screw you first" thanks a lot.

This is the problem. My husband job is moving him out of state and the apartment complex (in Florida by the way) wants 60 days notice and two months rent to get us out of the lease. But I have heard that, by law, if it is a situation where you job is moving you over 150 miles, that the lease is void and you are free to move without any penalty. Does anyone know if this is true in Florida or where I could find out more information on the issue?

He decides to pop in every few years but even then I don't have any desire to talk to him, so I'm wondering how I could go about changing my last name to my mother's maiden name? Would I need the persmission from my dad to change it? I turned 18 years old in January, and I live in Ohio. Thanks for all your help in advance!

I imagine there is no answer to this question, for it is a relative issue in today’s society. Most people would automatically mistrust and debate anyone with an answer to this question. Our knowledge is or is becoming that primitive. We are reverting to “Tribal Knowledge”, and becoming a nation of many tribes. There are many different groups that believe many different things which are becoming accepted in today’s society, but known to be wrong.
