I do not condone terrorism but the fact remains that the state Israel didn't exist before WWII. I don't give a toss about the Promised Land and all that because I'm sure Jesus also said love thy neighbour and remember the story of the good Samaritan.

Why slowly take more and more from the people who were there when the Jews started arriving in droves in the 1930s and big time after WWII given the persecution and murder that Jews have suffered at the hands of the Nazis? Why would people such as the settlers treat Palestinians in such a way by telling them to get the f**k out when (although with graver consequences) the Nazis did the same to them?

I'm not criticising just trying to understand the division on this issue between most Europeans and the US.

I recently got a speeding ticket in the state of California for traveling at 72mph on a 70mph max freeway. Sad but true. Needless to say, I want to fight the ticket in court.

Question: What can I reasonably request (and reasonably expect to receive) when I file a motion for discovery with regard to my speeding ticket?

Eye for an eye. Many recent crimes are cruel an unusual, so shouldn't their punishments be? Dead is dead, but wouldn't such retribution be somewhat cathartic for those who suffer from such criminal acts? At least much better than feeding, clothing and trying to rehabilitate the perpetrators for the rest of their lives?

I live in North Carolina and my car needed a paint job. The shop that was going to paint it instructed my car to be taken to the shop the night before so they could work on it first thing in the morning. So the night before I drive my car to the place, park it in their parking space, and leave my key in the drop box. The next day they call saying they can't find my car. I was surprised, thinking maybe I parked it in the wrong lot or something. Turns out, my car got stolen. What are my options and what should I do about this? I'm hoping they pay me the value of my car since it was on their property.

The Jessica law initiative places life time ankle bracelets on ALL sex offenders, not just children offenses. It also requires ALL sex offenders to live 2000 feet from a school or park. This will cost approx. 200 million a year. Also, the Department of Justice states that 90% of child sex offenses occur in the homes of families and friends. Is it really worth spending this kind of money on a law which will have little affect on the victimization of children. Wouldn't it be better to put money in educating children and people in general on proper sexual behavior? Remember, not everyone has the benefit of good parenting, and these are usually the people who get into trouble. As long as this country does nothing of the conditions that generate dysfunctional people, we will always have victims of one sort or another regardless of the severity of law or the amount of prisons we have. Law makers tried this type of punishment strategy will drug addicts in the 70s, but that didn't work at all.

My son was the victim of "Aggrevated Racial Harassment" when the case came to trial the council for defence introduced a statement written by our Housing Association. This stated that my son was the subject of an Anti-Social behaviour Order it also inferred we had been evicted from our home. As we were in the witness suite the first we knew about this was when the prosecutor came down to say that she thought we ought to agree to let the accused be bound over rather than go to trial- we informed the prosecutor that this was not true but having been discredited already she still advised us to accept this ruling. Not having been in court to hear exactly what was said I obtained the Official Transcript of the case. I have it in writing that the judge was led to believe these lies from a statement from the Housing Association. The HA eventually admitted writing a statment for the defence-they then claimed both the Judge and prosecutor must have mis-read the contents? Isn't this illegal?

This is hypothetical and doesn't apply to me or anyone I know.

Given that a couple have sex and the woman gets pregnant accidentally, they have a choice of having an abortion. Now, the man doesn't want a baby for whatever reasons it may be. However, the woman does not want an abortion. Given that she has the baby, the man will be required to pay child support. How is that fair considering he cannot partake in the choice of aborting the pregnancy? I realize it is her body and it's her choice, but she should raise the child without the support payments if she wants to keep it. However, this would only work if the man is against the pregnancy upto 1 month into pregnancy, but should pay child support if he changes his mind too late in the pregnancy.

This way, it is fair to men who get trapped into child support or parent hood by deceptive women, and innocent/victimized women still get child support if their partner leaves them with a child.

SCENARIO: A company needs help for a special project & enters into a contract with Mary to complete it. Just as the project is wrapping up, a new need arises for her services and she is asked to continue with the company. The supervisor begins working more closely with Mary and requires her to use company materials and equipment while adhering to company work schedules. After two years, economic conditions force the company to make budget cuts and Mary is asked to leave.

30 days later, a major contract is acquired by the company, which reinstates the need for Mary’s services. However, the supervisor chooses to hire his equally-qualified cousin and not offer Mary the opportunity to return.

Was her termination legal under employee-at-will? Has there been a breach of implied contract or good faith?
