Sorry the' mostly 'makes me side with the social workers.
Maybe you should side with DEFACS and change that 'mostly' to a 'never'

Well if YOU are the one party that is not doing drugs then tell them (DEFACS) to drug test you on any given day! Be so cooperative that Mother Theresa is paled in comparison. Keep your home immaculate! Invite them (DEFACS) in every time they show up! Keep your children clean, the home tidy, food in the cabinets.

Do what a GOOD Mama/Daddy should and they will close the case either right away or within 30 days.

DEFACS can be your worst enemy or your best friend! Be willing to remove your children from the danger of drugs. Be willing to kick the spouse/boyfreind/girlfriend out without any hoopla.

Be sure to ask "what can I do to keep my children safe?" Take all advice under advicement, but remember YOU decide what happens here!

And tell the worker that you would like to have family counseling. Rather your partner agrees to it or not is not relevant. It shows DEFACS that YOU are willing. DEFACS pays for this if you are on Medicaid or receiving foodstamps.

Know your rights! DEFACS is a mediator! And only there to observe the situation.

If you are a good parent? And I hope you are, because I am giving advice to "help" the best interest of the child here, and YOU, if you truely want to keep your children in the most safe and productive environment.

Don't let DEFACS scare you! Their powers are limited. Ultimately it is the court that will decide if there is just cause to remove your children from the home.

But if you display every measure to show that you will NOT allow drugs in your home then DEFACS will be on your side.

You need a lawyer, first off.
But even a lawyer can 't save you from the tyranny of the DFS. They are required by law to investigate all charges. They've got you by the short hairs, now. I know because I went through the same thing and had about 3 or 4 charges made to dFs by my kids' father (all turned out unfounded) but it was a big pain in the ***. Just stay cooperative with the investigator

You can't avoid the DHS.

And to the above response, it isn't about money! It isn't like they get paid extra to go into a bad situation and pick on people. They don't get a commission from the bad reports! If you've had to deal with them because you were reported then that is why you don't support them or condone what they do! Most people who've been reported don't! My mom has been in social services for over 35 years and believe me it isn't the easiest thing to do. She has suffered a lot of sleepless nights over many cases. Social services is not a fun job! But some body has to do it!

This is actually quite common. Unfortunately, children's aid is often a weapon of choice during bitter divorces; however, they are duty bound to follow the law and base any judgments or actions on facts and not allegations. You may be interviewed or asked to take a drug test. But again, if action is going to be taken, there has to be more evidence than one word of a person against another.

They are VICIOUS. I've had to deal with them on several occasions, and they could care less about the welfare and safety of children. Profit is their first concern. They even lied in court in front of a judge, and tried to say my mother was abusing me. Luckily the judge believed my statement. If they appear at your door, don't let them in unless they have a police officer with them, as well as a warrant.

They'll try to come in and do an "assessment", little do you know that this is all within the agenda, and they'll be in front of a judge in a week or so, getting papers signed in order for them to take your kids away. My advice: DO NOT let them in the house unless they have a warrant.

What do you mean by mostly false? Is there some truth to it? Here's a hint...clean yourself up, take care of your kids, and you should have nothing to worry about.
