I CANNOT believe I did it, but I was supposed to report for Jury Duty on 7/10, and here it is more than a week later and it dawned on me. Does anyone know what happens now? Seriously, please...it's late and I'll worry about this all night.

I missed a jury duty summons once because the summons was sent to my mother's address and I no longer lived with her. Call them first thing in the morning and explain that you missed it and you're sorry that you just completely forgot, most of the time they're very understanding.

If you feel comfortable doing so, go to the office and tell them what happened. Apologize to them, they will appreicate it. That way they won't think you were trying to avoid Jury Duty.

You can be noted in contempt of court.

Your best recourse at this time is to immediately phone or visit the issuing court and explain the situation to see how it can be rectified.

You will have to pay a big hefty fine and most likely going to jail for this. They dont care if you are a full time student.
