In a domestic partnership, is it true that one parent can file for full-legal custody without the consent of the other?

I beleive that you can file anything without consent but when he is served to go to court or whatever it's up to a judge which in most cases the mother will get the custody as long as she's not insane or a repeat offender and if the opposed cant prove that she's an unfit mother

Yes. I did. I went and filed for full physical custody and then we went to mediation instead of court and came to an agreement. I got custody and he got visitation rights and has to pay child support for our daughter.

Yes, the parent can file but must serve the other parent and the court makes that determination.
