A friend of mine had her signature signed on a sallie mae loan without her permission. Her daughter attended this business school but my friend did not. Her daughter did not apply for this particular loan. The school took it upon themselves and signed my friends name without her knowledge

You shoudl hire a lawyer that handles the TYPE of claim that you wish to file against the business school.

that depends on the TYPE of case you want to bring to court. If it's property, it'll be small claims, for sexual harrassment, it'll be a litigator, ect...
My only advice is go to www.handelonthelaw.com post your question and get a reply. Asking a website like "ask" isn't wise when it comes to legal advise.
Bill Handel (the lawyer sponsering this site) can be heard on Sat, 6am-12pm pacific time or go to the website for "640 am KFI" and catch the streaming show

A tort lawyer, and given that you didn't give reason why, then I strongly urge you to refrain from suing.
