My boyfriend's old boss lied in a reference in an attempt to prevent him from getting his new job. He got the job regardless because his new employers have had dealings with his ex boss before and knew of my boyfriend's good reputation. Since this, she has continued to spread malicious falsehoods (of the worst sorts) around his old workplace, and attempting to have his clearance to enter the workplace denied. This would have meant he could have lost his new job. Fortunately, it didn't work and he has a lot of evidence and people to back him up about her behaviour.
I know that in the past, high profile libel and slander cases have cost 10's of thousands of pounds. Is there a way of filing a case at the court yourself?

State mandatory seatbelt harness laws are unconstitutional. They infringe on a person’s individual rights as guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, Such laws are an unwarranted intrusion by government into the personal lives of citizens; denies through prior restraint the right to determine a person’s own individual personal safety and health care standards for one’s own body, the ultimate private property, and forcefully, under threat, mandates the personal opinion of those in government.

You get to feel what its like to save a childs life, prevent toxic pollution, stop murders before they happen, help hard working cops that have to put up with scum, if you have turned one in then give yourself a pat on the back for your courage and wisdom.

Lets say I borrowed money from ABCXYZ corp. to fix up my house. Now the company is shutting down. What is going to happen to my loan, and do the same original terms and conditions apply if my loan is sold to someone else? Lets say I borrowed $30,000 on a 3% deferred intrest plan, that is payable upon an actionable event (the house is sold, refinanced, or payment is initiated via homeowner.)

Would we run the risk of making him a martyr if he's executed ? Or if we lock him up ? Or should some nice friendly SEAL or DELTA or MARINE RECON team give him an anonymous "flying lesson" from a helicopter at, say, 5,000 feet, and he just disappears like Jimmy Hoffa ?

I have a really great writing teacher that says that the USA's DUI limit law is ridiculous and should be raised. He uses ancedotes such as his friends getting pulled over but could walk in a straight line and touch his nose. Personally, I think he is wrong because I feel so many people can barely drive SOBER, to raise the DUI limit is encourging more people to DUI. What do you think? He also says that police only lowered it so they can catch more people to meet quota. I told him, he should not attack the law, but attack the person enfocing it. You? He is a writing teacher teaching SAT class. Teaching 14-17 years olds.

I am a law student and I have seen attorneys with long hair. I believe the style or look one posses is irrelevant to how one practices his trade, craft, or profession. However, I do believe there are many unspoken words and I would like to know if upon becoming an attorney I should lose the long hair (it resembles like Depp's hair in Blow) which is at shoulder length. I'm asking an honest opinion from those who are in the legal field.

Thank you

Why is the Holocaust so predominant in WW2 history compared to the entire scope of the conflict? Many blacks, muslims, gypses, catholics and other minority groups were persecuted. Out of the 62 million dead in the war (conservative), only 5.5 million were Jews. About 30 million civilians (excluding the jews) were killed as well. Did the Jews just shout louder or somthing? Or does noone care about the other groups that had simlar treatment? Also does the Holocaust detract us from the other atrocitiys that happend?
