Can anything bad happen to you, or even get fired from a job etc if you say you're a racist or someone finds out you're a racist? You don't do or say anything racist, you just say or are found out to be one?

I'm white, and yes you can be racist and be educated (in other words, you can be racist and NOT be ignorant)

I'm racist because of actual race, not just the color of their skin

nope- it's still America even though Clinton did his best to legislate "thought crimes" into being...
You'd better be VERY careful in any corporate environment or company that talks about "diversity" you'll get dropped like a hot potato...

Your beliefs are your right. You have the right to believe what you want (no matter how much I disagree with them) without your employer taking action. They can't fire you for your beliefs unless you are creating a hostle work environment for others that are employed there (hanging literature that offends around the office, demeaning someone due to your beliefs, etc.). Otherwise, your beliefs are your own business.
It is not illegal to be racist, just to act on that ideal in a way that violates someone else's rights.

A company can fire you for just about any reason they want.
There's no law against being a racist, although there are laws against hate crimes.
As long as they don't do anything to harm others, The U.S. Constitution protects the right of people to believe any stupid thing they want to.

No, it's not illegal to be racist unless being so is brought into your actions on the job or otherwise conflicts with the rights of another person.

well, this is America and you have a right to your opinion but if you do something to someone because of their race it is called a hate crime. i don't think you can be fired for your views as long as you don't take them to work with you. in other words you aren't offending or threatening co-workers, customers, etc. but please do reconsider your position. people are people, seeing the world by color will only promote hate. good luck to you.

You can get fired if you threaten someone or someone feels threatened/offended. Just keep your d*mn opinions to yourself! I can't stop you from thinking your thoughts but keep them in your head.
And no, you are ignorant. To hate entire groups of people based on rumors, myth and stereotypes or just because you wanna is as ignorant as you can be.
