with the new laws, you can file Chapter 7 bankruptcy every 8 years, however, it is a little harder to file a 7 now. Also, you can only file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy 3 separate times in your lifetime.

I don't know how often it's allowed. But I'd only want to file once if I had to. Of course, never is better.

As long as you can prove that you are bankrupt everytime you filed it.
