I had a work related injury, I went on disability, I was suppose to receive 60% of my pay but THEY admitted it was an error on their end which resulted in 100% pay for me. I don't have that money anymore (paid off bills, medical, rent, etc..) So other than losing my job, what are the repercussions if I refuse to pay OR just can't pay??
Serious answers please. Thank you

in 2003, yes 3 years ago I had signed up for an AOL trial account for 2 months, when I attempted to cancel this account, the representative that I spoke to offered me a free month (to help me reconsider about canceling), and when I called to cancel that month the representative offered me 1 free month, then when I called to cancel that, the representative offered me 2 free months, and I finally got tired of it and canceled it.

Now 3 years later, I get bill from a collection agency saying that I owe 95.60 for 4 months of service (the free term, so if they charge me they had lied, and false advertised to me), and are threating to put a negative mark on my credit for it. Anyway, after dealing with AOL they told me they had some technical problems with billing in 2003, but I'm still responsible for the money, even though they don't have my 3 year old records, and will HAVE to send away for them which they might be able to do. I told them to do this.

Now...who do I talk to to file a lawsuit?

The Republicans will only raise the Minimum Wage IF they get to cut the estate tax. Whereas they have no problem raising their own wages.

pedophiles? Something needs to be done. There's too many of them around and the justice system doesn't always take care of them. They make me sick and I can tell that there are a lot of them lurking around on this site.

I curse them. Can't we collectively stop this insanity, or am I the only one who loathes work? C'mon, let's start a revolution on Y!A - the 5 day work week seems like an arbitrary number pulled out of a hat. Why couldn't it be something more civilized, like 1 day for example?

If 22 Arabs boarded 4 different planes and crashed them into buildings, why is it wrong to at least watch Arabs at the airport from that point on? It is an Arab enemy that has threatened us and therefore it will be Arabs that attack us again. Can someone explain to me why one man's burden of being searched at an airport is more important than 300 others on the plane and thousands that are in buildings? This is the land of the free - not the land of lunacy.

When a white man is in a BMW in the middle of a crack-infested black neighborhood and cops pull him over for no apparent reason - isn't that racial profiling?

Just to point out that this is not just something that happens to minorities - it happens to us crack smokers. Just kidding. But seriously, what do you think.

Both products are Very harmful to society, and to your body. Both are responsible for Multiple thousands of deaths every year. Both are heavily taxed by the government. Why is it that Tobaccoo is NOT allowed to do a lot of advertising, and Alcohol IS? I don't understand why one KNOWN harmful substance is OK to be mass marketed to everyone, and the other isn't. They are both governed under the same outlet of government "ATF" Shouldn't both Very Harmful substances be banned from advertising? And if not, then shouldn't Tobaccoo be able to advertise as aggressively as Alcohol does? Don't get me wrong here, I am agains't advertising for both, but why is the law so different when both products are so similar. Drinking and smoking go hand in hand. So why does our society view one as kind of O.K. and the other as a big Taboo?

I am hoping someone can help with this weird situation I am in.

I need to know what I need to do in order to be my brother's permanent legal guardian. I am in PA.

There was an incident on 7/7 and my mother was arrested for simple assault and harassment against my 15 year old brother. Due to this arrest, she is not to have any contact with him and I plan on having him live with me permanently.

I need to know what I need to do in order to be his legal guardian. I am in PA.

There is an open incident with children and youth that is currently under investigation.

Another thing is that she still has been receiving child support for him and he is not there. Does anyone know if there is anything that I can do so that money goes into an account for him?

I appreciate any guidance anyone can offer!

Thanks!!!!

I'm sick & tired of political correctness, acceptance crowds & hearing how everything is just SOO racist! ANYBODY ELSE W/ ME??? If we don't translate every sign for a foreigner.. then we are not Culturally Diverse enough! If I don't agree with the "alternative lifestyle" I'm a homophobic biggot, racist,
If I say don't agree with someones views I'm too narrow minded..
"I need to have a tolerant open mind" blah blah blah
What happened to America?! Where everyone was themselves, everyone was still REAL not fake, Where most had the same stance when it came to moral issues? Everyone spoke English as a 1st language or took time to learn it? Kids grew up in a normal family setting?
This is America we speak English, drive too fast, talk too slow, love & protect our kids. We have our own culture & morals here. America don't like it feel free to leave!
Who sat around & thought up all this stuff & then incorporated it into what was once NORMAL country?
Anybody feel this way?

If I got married to a man in California in 1995, and found out he has 2 previous wives with whom he NEVER divorced from, are we legally married? I would think that the marriage is null since he's already married to 2 other women? Please help! I haven't seen him for abou 6 years, but I didn't think a divorce was necessary...was I wrong? Do I still need a divorce? Are there any reasons that would change this...such as having a child together?

a person knew someone who had a judgement against them for three million dollars? The person with the judgement is wealthy and lives protected in an ivory tower somewhere with his money out of the country. Do you think parties unknown might send cowboys to harass friends of this person even though they are not rich and had no connection with what happened? Is this likely?
