I am one of millions of americans who right now can't get employment because of my felony background. But yet, any illegal immigrant can come over and get a job and we don't know what's that person's done in their country. I don't expect special treatment, but it upset's me as an american to know that ILLEGALS have no problem getting a job and I can't because of poor decision making as a young adult. Fair or foul?

The only ones that didn't immigrate to this continent at some point were the Native Americans. If we reject illegal immigrants then we should be consistent and reject all the white, black, hispanic, asian, and any other people that are not of natives back to their own country. Now that's fair.

I think it is that most white people are not racist ,,becuase then thier cuase is completly empty

what else do they have,, they need to think that most white people are racist,,

If you think they hate racist,,try again,, that's what fuels whole philosophy,,,that anglos are ignorant and hateful almost automatically

thye never found anything to date that the minutmen done that was racist or criminal against a certain ethnic group,,they just spread lies about them

they never can prove that immigration lawas are racist agianst any ethnic group

Looks to me like Congress just threw out the baby with the bathwater. Looks like they sold us down the river or up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
Looks like Congress is ignoring what their constituents want.

What about all the people who enter the US legally? They apply for their visa and pay their fees. Then they have to wait for their visa to arrive. This process can take months.
But if we grant amnesty to illegal immigrants are we just rewarding them for breaking the law and disreguarding the people who did the right thing.

Our government is part of the problem, but the biggest problem is the american business man who doesn't give a crap about the american household. They are the ones hiring the illegal immigrants and not hiring the proper people legal to work in this country. I don't have a problem hiring black's, white's, hispanic's or any other race as long as their legal resident's of this great country of our's! Remember, the U.S.A. is the best country in the world, it's our government that I can't stand and who is bringing it down!!!

I don't understand government very well, but I've heard about obtaining a visa to come into America when you aren't a citizen. Maybe if the Mexican government straightened up, it's citizens wouldn't feel such a need to come over here and break a whole bunch of laws doing it.
Also, why should illegal immigrants get benefits that legal citizens can't have?

I have an honest question about the new deal that was worked out today. In the articles I've read, they say that illegal aliens that step forward can get a "Z" visa, pay fees and $5000, to get "on track" towards permanent residency. What incentive will there be for people to voluntarily come forward? Does this new agreement also include stiffer penalties for those who choose not to? Will any of this actually be enforced? I'm not trying to sound opinionated, I'm just trying to comprehend how they think something like this is actually feasible.

i find it frustrating to hear asylum seekers etc are receiving government benefits to live here for free when the government consistantly tells us year after year how little money there is to go around for hospitals, education, housing etc

How many of you have actually been in countries ie, South East Asia? The person that I was refering to is actually my neice by marriage. As for the term "anchor babies", This is actually a recently coined term. My neice was here on a Tourist Visa. So she was here legally. She only wanted the very best for her child, as any parent would. The US is portrayed as a country of unbeleivable opportunities, "a land of milk & honey". IF most of you good people out there could see the way many people live in other countries, you would understand that they are willing to use whatever means necessary to have a better life for their families. I see that I have hit "a nerve" with many out there. At times I agree with most of your views. We need to get down on our knees & thank God that we live in such a great country where we are free to express our views. God Bless all of you.

I'm going to a three-week summer program in America, and even though I don't need student visa cuz im Canadian, I need an I-20 form. Everything I read seems to imply that the university is supposed to send me the form...but its not clear. Anyway, I don't have the form yet and i dont know how and where to get it! I NEED IT SOON! The demographics of the US would change instantly. Is this what you want (because that's what "amnesty" will do). i work were Foodstamps.. is excepted..and the funnie thing is i dont see alot of Latinos have it only Crackheads!!! and people who dress nice and with nice cars... and lazy people i recently when to a place to sign up...and i all i saw was people with a crack head face!! and tatoos and nice clothes... than i went to a food bank...and all these people with nice cars...i dont want any welfare...or foodstamps i like working for my money!!! and i do work hard and yes im latino!! && id like to add sum thing illegals dont sign up or cant because they get scared to get get deported..

why do many people always are saying illegal immigrants are criminals, they are lazy, using are tax money, and the list keeps going on. they have steryotype immigrants. you should stop using the word illegal because, yes i understand it is illegal but stop using the word. how would you fell if i was to call you an illegal driver when you get a ticket and that you are a criminal and degrade you and also call you an illegal whatever when you break the law. you wouln't like that wouln't you. so if you answer don't give me your b s i am tired of hearing the same old thing. just leave your opinion if they should stop using the word

Illegals came outside your house and u allowed they cut your yard.
Illegals are working (here in OK) in the 90% of the resturants and you continue visiting those restaurants.
Illegals cleans your bathrooms, carpets, and you don't say nothing
Illegals pay taxes and don't take nothing just theirs salarys.
And now u say: send them home, arrest all wetbacks and deport them.
Illegals (including me) will go home just when u don't call me to cut your yards, to clean your houses, to cook your foods, etc.
Think just a little, for example in my situation, i'm illegal, i'm from mexico there I studied Mining Engineer, i'm here working illegaly i'm a security guard and i fix computers by my self, i'm making less than 30,000/year, if i were legal i would be working like Mining Engineer or for an important company in a good potition making at less 60,000/year and i would be available to use your social services.
Then, why you prefer a legal immigrant if for your country is better an illegal?

I dont see an end to racism as it still happens today. When will you dumb humans (all racist people) begin to realize that we are all equal and neglect skin color from our physical characteristics. God made us they way we are are made and there is nothing we can do about it or change it. God wanted diversity thats why he made humans differently in color and looks. For example, just because you hate a black person doesnt mean he/she will change its just the way they were created. We should put in end to this immediatly this is completely unacceptable in our diverse society. The more racist we are the less peace there will be and more violence will occur.
