I would like that to happen why not go for a million instead? Mexico's government is very corrupt and it would be good for the US to take advantage of that.

sure it's okay, if the government enacts the laws for the fines. But how the hell are you going to collect the money from a bankrupt country that is having a hard time feeding it's rich?
The country of Mexico would go into default on payments with the first bill. The U.S. can send the bill to an international collection agency for payments past due, but then they could also send NASA to mars to collect blood from the stones up there and get a better response from the rocks then they would from Mexico.
So go ahead. Charge them, and if they don't pay up then send the illegals into debtor's prison. At least then they would have a roof over their head, clothing, three squares a day, and the basic medical care required. Which is a hell of a lot more than what most of them have now.
Personally I don't think it's a good idea, but the states can try.

Mexico isn't a rich country. Charging a country money because of an immigration problem isn't going to change the fact that there are illegal immigrants in this country, and coming into this country. Even illegal Mexican immigrants do their part to make this country what it is. Remember what happened when they all went on strike? They proved that this country needs them as workers.
The best plan of action would be to secure and close the border, and give all the illegals American citizenship. It may be a long process, but that would take care of the "illegal" problem. After everything is said and done, the border can be re-opened.
What we need the most is a better border system. The fence that is on the border now is easy to get through.
Why do some Mexicans feel the need to cross illegally? This question needs to be addressed. There must be a miscommunication somewhere, or it may be that they are too poor to get a citizenship.
All in all, I believe that the majority of Mexican illegals are a hard working bunch. They work hard to support their families, and they do work that I certainly wouldn't want to do. As an American citizen, I welcome hard working peoples into this country.

I assume you realize that the majority of long term illegal immigrants obtain falsified social security numbers in order to be able to work steady jobs, as opposed to the ones that come up by themselves for a year or two and look for daily work. This means that THEY PAY TAXES. It also means that, because they're using falsified numbers, they do not get paid a single dime when they "retire"; all that money stays with Uncle Sam.
If you think about it objectively, and not in a racist manner, illegal immigrants actually HELP our economy. They take the crappy jobs that nobody wants for minimum wage (imagine if they didn't, we'd be paying $5 for an apple!), they pay taxes just like everyone else, but they don't ever see a penny of it.
Most of the costs of public schools are paid for with property taxes; even if they were able to purchase a house here, they would be required to pay those taxes just like everyone else. Now, does that mean that anyone who doesn't own a home shouldn't be able to send their kids to school?
We need to realize that we were all immigrants at one time (except Native Americans, whom we mostly massacred; the funny thing is, most Central Americans we're opposed to receiving are mostly of Native American descent), and absolutely all of our ancestors came here for a better life, just like mexicans are doing now. Want them to learn the language now that they're here? Did we?? I don't know of any of my buddies that speak Cherokee, or Navaho, or any other native american language.
It seems to me that the reason we don't want Mexicans here is cause they're brown skinned and they speak a different language than us (I'd like to see anyone complain if they were all from Canada). We need to get over ourselves and accept this country for the melting pot it is, otherwise we will end up being more and more isolated from the rest of the world.

Absolutely! I happen to live in the highest travelled area along the US/Mexico border and see illegal alien traffic within 5 miles of my home that numbers in the hundreds everyday. These people have no respect for the rights of the people that live along the border and actively steal and destroy their property. The amount of trash these immigrants leave behind is staggering and the damage that they do to the waterlines and fences costs the ranchers a huge amount of money every month.

Sure, go ahead and bill them! See how quick they are to send a check!
Part of the problem with Mexico's economy is that no one pays into the government, so the government has no ability to pay for services. The citizens don't pay their taxes, so the tax rates go up, making it harder for the citizens to pay their taxes...it's a vicious circle, really.

Yes, because the States already gives them free medical care, education, and jobs (tax free jobs) since they are illegal they don't pay taxes. So yes,it is fine to charge that amount. The illegals will even be taking our jobs, there are millions of illegals in the States.

Yes, maybe more. It's their president. I worked with horses for a long, long time, and of course there were Mexicans working with me. I would ask all kinds of questions. They blame it on their president. He takes all the money for his own gain. Leaving his country poor. We need to sue the Mexican president, and why not? We sue everyone else.
