Immigration - June 2006

Seems like if we stopped educating peoples children (who didn't speak English and) couldn't prove citizenship, we'd have a whole lot less problems right out front. If these kids are running the streets and are school age, bingo, ...we have caught them and their parents. Why in heaven's name do we let the children of illegal immigrants/aliens come into our schools and then change the ciriculum to Spanish cuz they can't speak English? What about the American kids needs? This is so nuts I can't fathom it. What's the deal here?

Well you know they can't actually get welfare or any benifits if their illegal.
How do you know their all in gangs or here to commit horrible crimes? and I'm not talking about the crime of being illegal, I've just noticed a lot of steriotyping.
Does every single one steal ss#'s? do you have proof? a link.
Are you aware the majority of sex offenders are of white decent?
And I'm not being rasist with that remark its a fact, look it up.Plus theirs a lot of white ppl I know and adore.

catching them as you pick the up for petty crimes. Traffic, jay walking, etc. ( I could go on!)
I don't believe it would be possible for these people to stay here if our enforcement folks were on alert and poised to pounce when they had an illegal in their sites!
We sure aren't going to throw them all out at once. Maybe we could offer amnesty to any illegal who turned in 25 other illegals?!
Or possibly even paid them for any we were able to get hold of and we able to root out. A Bounty!
In fairness, there are some good people here and it certainly is an American tradition to come here escaping repression. Give the good folks a chance to do it right and don't let them steal the show by letting their fams in etc and it could be a good thing.

own LEGAL citizens in this country that really DESERVE our help??!!! Everyone keeps talking about the poor people from mexico,but what about the poor people from AMERICA??!! What about our veterans who are living on the streets??? What about the uneducated and illiterate who are unable to get jobs?? What is more fair than that to both parties? Get used to paying for stuff i you want to come here, cuz here in the USA that's what we do. We Pay! If you come here, one way or the other, you will have to pay too.

Ok I have read alot of disapproval for the immigration bill passed by the senate recently. My question to you is this... what is the solution? 1) Deporting millions of illegals will NOT work. First off they can't catch them all now so how are you going to arrest them and deport them all. To all of you that don't support the bill are you all prepared to PAY for all the prisons that will have to be built and for the deportation of all the MILLIONS of illegals here??? And hey... don't look for cheap anything either those days will be gone. And to all of you who claim that the jobs illegals are doing will be done by a willing American please enlighten me as to why there is even a job for a illegal immigrant if a American is willing to do it???? Illegal stays! That would apply to all illegally activity. I won't sugar coat that. But now you don't like the word Immigrants or Aliens-even though that applies to all who go to other countries and other countries use it. And most books(education books as well as others)-papers-ect use it. So why should it be different now and only here .What do you think is better?

...if it were'nt as a result of more accidents, due to more populace/ people, poorer drivers, drivers who weren't licensed; don't know rules and laws of the road in this country, are stealing more vehicles, or just don't care what happens here. Think there's a correlation between the large population of illegals or ...that the folks of California are just becoming worse drivers all of a sudden? Just the start of what is going to be our future here in Cal/USA if we don't remove these people who have no investment or care about what goes on in Cal. or the US.
Hint: 50% of criminals in California prisons are illegal aliens. In fairness; there are a small % of that 50%, who are not of Hispanic descent. Hmmmmm 50% increase in insurance? 50% of all prisoners are ...Must just be a coincedence.

80% of the American people want legal immigration drastically reduced. This percentage holds for all Americans: black, white, Hispanic, Asian and native Americans. Of course even a higher percentage wants illegal immigration stopped. People have wanted this for decades.
