Illegals have found how easy it is to get entitlements from the US government such as welfare, health care and free education, who would not want to come here for those benefits?mooching off this country has become a magnet for more illegals to get here, illegals in this country send letters to people back home how it's not that hard once you're in the states to get aid,in california where they control the state, hospitals have gone bankrup because of the influx of illegals using the facilities and not paying for them.Politicians turn a blind eye to what's happening as to not offend anyone, but in the end, they too will lose out

Because whatever it is that they need they don't have it where they're from so they go somewhere else hoping to have a better life. It really is economic. Give these people a job that allows them to take care of themselves and their families in their country, trust me for most of them they would not try to come to the US or any other European country. It is a global problem and it is sad because people die in the process of wanting a better life. I don't know what the solution is really because I know the developed countries cannot take everyone in, it is not economically possible. So maybe it is even more profound and the "rich" countries would have to help the "poor' ones so that their citizens would no longer want/have to leave to get there what they don't have at home. No country wants Illegals and no human being wants to be Illegal, at least that is what I believe.

People come here because they lack food, security and shelter in their land.

This immigration and legal business is a recent phenomenon, people have always moved from place to place, since time immemorial. People naturally try to escape hardship, and try and go where life is easier, and where there is hope that they will survive better.

Not only humans do it, animals and birds are known to ... well, its called migration (not immigration).

So, now you know why they do it.

Even if 80% of Americans dont want them here, that will not change the fact that they will still want to come, using whatever means.

I can only surmise that it is bec that is the easiest way for them to get over here bec they do not have to buy plane tickets or anything like that, they just have to go over the border then that's it, they are over here already.
Most illegal try to escape their own country bec they think and feel that the US will have something better to offer. Honestly, life here is hard too, but maybe in thier point of view US is better off than in their own country.
it would be surprising if you see the illegals in other countries. The borders are their way to freedom, given that choice wouldn't you run to the border too?

they want a job and a better living, and sometimes the USA goverment doesnt give people a lot of help to let them come work legally, like they want everything to be perfect but if they miss one of the requirements, they simpily just dont give them passports and permits to come work here. and america is a great country, and they let everybody know it by being so cocky and showing off their great life, and people outside this country do want to have a life like that! and i dont get it, i mean i knew a whole bunch of illegal immigrants when i used to live in chicago, and most of them actually did payed taxes, EVEN if they were using fake documentation, but also immigrants do pay their taxes cuz the goverment give them something called IT number, its like a social security number, but just to pay taxes, and a lot of people have that!! i think that most of the immigrants have it, at least the ones that i know. and i admit it, people shouldnt jump borders to get here, they should get here legally, but the goverment isnt doing anything really to help us get here legally, they make STRICT requiments, which most people cant even fill. so thats y people go and do that stuff. also, i know the USA has this strict laws and requirements because of the segurity issues they got, but y cant they also do the same wit the borner on the north, by canada? there are a lot of people who come in america across that border!!! from other continents and i dont see anybody doing anything about it! isnt it easier for a terrorist to jump a border at the north than on the south??? well just my opinion.... i used to be a immigrant, but i just came back to mexico, but i was in that country LEGALLY, i didnt cross no border!! i did but legally, wit my passport and permit! and i was lucky enought to match wit the requirements the usa puts on people to go there legally, but i think they should fix stuff up and not just blame all imigration on mexico! peace, and it was just a opinion. sorry if i somehow offend somebody

80% of Americans do not live in absolute poverty to the point where they would risk their lives to journey hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles away from their homes to provide a better life for themselves and their families. It isn't a matter of public opinion. The facts on the ground point to extreme poverty, and the realities of human migration including various push and pull factors.

I wouldn't assume they know what it like here before they come. I am sure some of them have an image of the USA as the land of milk and honey; where there is freedom and opportunity for everyone. Who wouldn't want to go to a place like that?

because, did you ever consider that despite how close minded people feel..we're supposed to be a free country and we should help others in need. everyone in America at one point came from somewhere else...unless your Indian.
and maybe living here with people who feel that way is still better than where they are now...and it's worth it; for the better meant of there own personnel status and opportunity's

sorry honey, but the u.s. sits right next to a giant called, "latin america." the birth rate in latin america is outpacing the rest of north america, so it's simply a matter of time before the u.s. looks like the rest of this hempisphere: predominately brown. once upon a time this hempishere was all brown, and it's only a matter of time before it is again. if you're looking for white only (and i think you are) then take the advice of david duke and move to "the last true bastion of whiteness":russia.

I think it is pretty clear that illegals just don't care what America thinks. They have their own agenda. It is a selfish way of life and it is high time they are held accountable. The same thing goes for people who harbor them and those who employ them.
