why werent they crackin down on the border before, why now?

i kno some of u all might not care, but why are they crackin down on the mexican border now? my dad, husband, and baby have crossed the border many times illegally and neva got caught, well they have their greencards now, and they went down to mexico becuz my uncle is dyin, and they took them to immigration to make sure their damn greencards wernt fake, oh and for those who thought they might have kept them there, nah their home..

The republican party is looking for issues that can carry them in the upcoming elections.

In 2000-2004, they struck a chord with gay marriages, and war on terrorism. But now, these issues are either non-issue, or infact, a drag on republican party - especially war on iraq.

In order to hold on to conservative, or near conservative vote bank, the next topic of interest is immigration. The fact is, illegal immigration and also legal immigration helps another bastion of republicans - industrialists, who want cheap labor.

But there are only so many rich industrialists, to a large population of white conservatives. Also, the appeal of immigration is also for many blacks/ hispanics, who are now naturalized, and dont want others like them to come in, and take away their jobs.

Thus, immigration is a good wedge point for republicans - get back the white conservatives, who may be drifting away becuase of Iraq, and also, get new voters - poorer blacks/ hispanics, who dont want more immigrants to come in.

Therefore, suddenly every republican, and FOX news is talking about that immigration issue, while thousands continue to die in Iraq war, we continue to pollute the environment, we continue to run massive deficits, and the rich continue to get tax breaks, while the rest of america continues to loose essential services, and well paying jobs

Because of terror and is not honorable for country people from Mexico put down own selfs like animals to cross the border. If my people come to U.S.A. they have to wait for papers work many years and pay tax in U.S. so is not fare for Maxicans jump over like this and come and complain that american flag is waiving in California and that is racist.
