The focus on guns in the Virginia Tech shootings has already sped to the front of issues.

Occasionally and not rushed to completion is the fact this man asked for mental health help and did not get it.

A news report showed an entire floor of inmates locked up indefinately in a Florida Jail with shortages of beds, running water and these men have not been charged. These conditions they were living in were sub human.

They are in for mental illness.

Florida has dedicated money to the separation of the mentally ill from the criminals.

I don't think that they should take guns from civilians because if they took the time to get a licenes or whatever, and only have it for protection, they're not going to hurt anybody.

The people we need to look out for are the people who got them illegally.

Taking them away is just going to make us worse off because we're going to have them to protect ourselves and the bad people are going to get them anyway.

It is an outrage that waiters, waitresses, and other service-sector employees have to pay taxes on the tips they earn. The IRS makes an estimate of how much service-sector workers will make in tips, and taxes them on it even if the taxpayer did not actually earn as much as the IRS' estimate!

What? This is outrageous! No taxes on tips!? What is he thinking?!

Several things are required to be achieved on the international front. Not only ending the Iraq War and bringing back the army. Further wars are to be averted. Nuclear disarmament is to be given forward movement. CTBT is to be realised. This requires the personal rapport of the type and scale the Clintons enjoyed during and after Clinton Presidency. Do any of the other candidates have got any such exposure ? Definitely not. They will lose lot of time in preparing for the events. It matters really.

i live in USA. met a woman on myspace who claims she lives in London and owns a firearm. looking for someone who knows the laws in London and can tell if the following is true. i want to make sure she is in not in Nigeria and is about to ask me to send money to help her father, the king, get millions out of the country.
i thought all firearms had been banned in england.

she said, "I send £40 to the Police every four years along with eight photographs of myself and a form with all my details on it. Then a Policeman (well up to now it's been a man) comes to inspect my gun and make sure it's bolted to the wall in my house."

I think politically correctness leads to globalization. It makes us individuals with no opinions, a nobody, an entity with no life or feelings. Being politically correct means to respect others, not to stop being who you are or believing in what you believe.

My husband is going to go back to school when he gets back from Iraq and out of the Army in 2009. I know that he can get the GI Bill for 36 months, but he shouldn't need to go to school for that long. So, are we just going to get the monthly checks while he's in school and then forfeit the rest?? Or can we collect the entire GI Bill in some way??

Hi, I had a quick question. Over the summer, I went to basic training on May 23rd and got discharge on August 23rd for Panic Disorder (It was a general under honorable conditions discharge, free from any disciplinary actions). Would I still be considered a veteran. I'm not looking for benefits of any kind, but I was wondering if it qualifies me to apply as an independent student by listing myself as a veteran. Thank you.
