My wife got a red light ticked here in Alberta, Canada a few weeks ago. She was not speeding nor intending to run the red light. Due to the slick road conditions her vehicle started to slide. She realized that she would end up stopping in the middle of the busy intersection, and decided to continue to accelerate through. She got the ticket for $287.00 and we are wondering if there is any way to have it reversed or at least lessened do to the circumstances?

Throughout the 20th Century, anytime a Hitler or someone like him was appeased we paid for it in lives, by the millions.

Why can't Liberals see that and understand that Pre-emptive action and force is all people like a Hitler or a Saddam Hussein understands?

A couple of weeks ago my sister and I were on our way back into town. It was dark as we passed a cop on the highway. All of a sudden we got flashed almost up on the bridge. My sister pulled over right before the bridge, and a few minutes later the cop came over to my side and asked if we knew why we were being stopped. He said that the brake light was out and the licence plate wasn't visible because something was burnt. He asked to see my sister's driver's license and registration. My sister pulled it out, saying that we were in a rental. He asked questions ... where we were from, what we were doing so far from home, etc. I told him that we were into final exams at the University, and that we were on our way back home. He told my sister that he wasn't giving her a citation, but that we needed to be aware of the problems, and also that the left lane was a passing lane only (whatever that means) ... does that mean that no vehicles whatsoever should be in the left lane?

Someone at work asked me why I didn't take advantage of grants. I told her that just because I can benefit from it, doesn't mean I should do it. So what are your thoughts on this? If it someone offers something for free or gives a special deal on something when should you and shouldn't you take them up on their offer.

I have done nothing illegal however people have accused me of making Death Threats. I am considered a Felon - Armed and Dangerous. No one in the United States will correct these false accusations against me. Therefore, information in the data base and Rap Sheet indicate otherwise; and authorities refuse to remove this information without putting the burden upon me to prove Factual Innocence. That's Impossible...I didn't make the accusations. Unable to work I must leave the country. Attorneys will not help stating...too much money and too much time. Thank you. JOE

The quotes below are from Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father";
Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

This is from "Audacity of Hope";
"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

From "Dreams";
"The emotion between the races could never be pure,” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart."

"There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. "A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white"

I know a woman who is very nice, however..well, CRAZY.I was talking to her recently,and she told me that she is about to begin training to be a flight attendant for the major airline that she already works a desk job for.
I find this VERY disturbing-she is NICE,however she drinks uncontrollably(DUIs),and has a history of violently attacking her husband and her teen sons.She was even detained once for trying to kill herself in front of her kids.As nice as I think she is, I am also very well aware that she just is NOT mentally stable.Obviously she has kept her act together enough to maintain her job for a year, but I am upset to learn that she would be considered for this type of a high-stress possition
I fly frequently, and I am very disturbed that she was even CONSIDERED for such a high pressure position. It makes me feel like this airline does not even CARE who they hire-I don't want to hurt her, but I feel this issue needs to be addressed with the airline-agree or disagree? How?
