honestly , it cant. the genie is out of the bottle. but the one way is to lead by example and get rid of ours and 99% will follow , but there is nothing you can do about the 1 percent some one will always try, so do we still spend billions on a weapon we will never use . or just piss it away

you can also insert biological and chemical weapons in that also . we also have a large stockpile of them also

"A few profit – and the many pay. But there is a way to stop it. You can't end it by disarmament conferences. You can't eliminate it by peace parleys at Geneva. Well-meaning but impractical groups can't wipe it out by resolutions. It can be smashed effectively only by taking the profit out of war."

this is impossible now that the technologies is on the international-huge-internet, and somany countries have nuclear capability...and nuclear weapons...or maybe missles to grant them (including Muslim countries like Pakastan). while they inevitably invent an A bomb the dimensions of a fruit cake, attempt preventing suicidal mass murderers then!!! A nuclear deterent won't supply up a suicidal anarchist, noticeably Radical Islamics residing interior the western "unfastened international", without native land to blame & punish for the attack. Pray. what's impossible for adult males is available with God!!!

Well hun, we did this already once. It was called the Cold war and us standing up to the Soviets Socialist republic. But if you want to stop it from spreading to every tom dick and harry 3rd world country, good luck.
Humanistic values are nice.....but now your thinking like an old time American. Not all countries are raised with such values or ideology of freedom and the persuit of success or happiness.
Eliminating the wealth gap between countries is idiocy, since those different thinking countries will now be able to afford more weapontry.
You have to realize one day that Radical islam is only regular islam who's followers take the ideology by what it says. and it says "convert the world to islam"....and if necessary, by the sword. Radical islam only refers to those so pationate about the belief that they are willing to do what they are instructed to do. It is a militant religion and until you get that through your heads, you are just a hinderance to any effort against terrorism.
I think we should have another 'Genieva convention' drafted.. screw the UN since they haven't honored any of thier threatened actions against nations in the past. They have been a paper tiger.
We sign every willing country to that new convention regarding treatment of prisoners, limit aggression against neighboring countries, we as an international court call out countries for violations (say like what Iraq did to Kuwait in 1991) and punish them if they violate any of these laws in world wide agreement. Those unwilling to take the tough stance to actually sign on to the international effort will not be held to the standards but will also not be given the protection of the new convention.
So terrorist countries might at best get first strike, but the world would ocme down on them hard for doing so.
Sure, you might say, ya...its just another piece of paper...but it would be one where prior authority is given from the world in general to levy action against violaters...and we won't have to waste time and go through the chaos of debating and deciding later.
