my friends mom told me that a judge ordered a no contact order for me and him, but wouldnt i have been notified i think she is just trying to keep me from writing him while he is in detention becaue shes crazy and she hates me. Like for real she is insane so dont tell me to find new friends just answer my question please

Yes, if you were the subject of a no contact order from a judge, you'd have been notified.

However, if your friend is a minor, then his mother has the legal right on her own authority to order you not to have contact with him. She can also tell the detention center not to give him any of your mail, or allow him any calls from you.

In most states, you have to be personally served with the order, her telling you that doesn't prove anything, ask to see a copy of the order (and I'm not sure how she has standing to do it, or why she would do it in a way that would allow you to talk to her if she DID do it.). One way to know for sure is to go to the county courthouse clerk's office and find out if such an order exists. The clerk's office can help you figure that out. But chances are she's full of it since you haven't been served with anything, unless you are hard to find.

you can still talk to him considering you haven't received any kind of documentation stating so from a judge
