According to a NORAD animation video I've watched, it shows two jets escorting Santa. Is this true? If it is, can you show me some evidences?

So they do detect Santa on radar, could they see him? And what is Santa's speed?

Not true. They wouldn't be able to keep up. Even the fastest X-15 Rocket Plane (There may be a faster one today, but I don't know about it), which is capable of flying at 4,519 mph, would not be able to keep up with the speed of Santa's Sleigh. Or the accuracy for that matter, Santa can turn on a dime, the X-15 can only make WIDE turns.

*Edit*

Which is a good thing, if you think about it. Otherwise he'd be shot down for invading foreign airspace in countries that don't celebrate Christmas, or in countries that don't like how commercialized the holiday has become.

Run, Santa! Run!

If that were to happen, I'm sure He'd have to outfit his sleigh with assault cannons and rocket launchers in order to defend himself... Hell. If he were on our side, he could win any war we ever had...

Rambo Santa.... that would be sweet.

They do try to escort him but Santa is too fast and the jets can't keep up. Santa has to go really slow so the jets can ride along side him. Once the pilots see that is is Santa he is given free access to our air space. Unfortunately no real video exists because cameras are not allowed in fighter jets.

Yes, as soon as NORAD picks him up in US airspace he's escorted by the Air Force until he's outside the continental US.

For a short time just to see it is him and give him access-then he is gone in a flash and leaves them in the wake. As Santa's exact location and route is classified at his request they do not allow pictures. Merry Christmas
