Several things are required to be achieved on the international front. Not only ending the Iraq War and bringing back the army. Further wars are to be averted. Nuclear disarmament is to be given forward movement. CTBT is to be realised. This requires the personal rapport of the type and scale the Clintons enjoyed during and after Clinton Presidency. Do any of the other candidates have got any such exposure ? Definitely not. They will lose lot of time in preparing for the events. It matters really.

Despite Lillian's polemic, Hillary is the clear winner using the criterion you cite, even if is it is partly basking in her husband's reputation. Despite the strong dislike of George W and his policies in the international community, Bill Clinton is very well regarded wherever he goes, especially in Europe , and Hillary will benefit from this. The only other candidate who might make the grade in this respect is McCain. The others do not look to me as if they have the qualities to restore the reputation of the US in the international community and ease the tensions and distrust of the US which is the Bush legacy.

Are you kidding? McCain has the strongest record in International Politics. He is well know and regarded around the World and has made International Politics a key part of his Senate Career. Hillary is a novice in comparison and Bill was no JFK or McCain for that matter.

Doesn't matter. Whoever is elected will be the President of the United States and other countries will work with that person because they would be the are representing the only superpower and relationships develop after that. Respect first then trust from actions.

Rapport? You mean like hugging Mrs. Arafat?

Clinton's enjoyed during their presidency? You mean like sitting by and doing nothing in Rwanda while 800,000 were tortured and killed?
